Seventeen-year-old Emmy Rossum, who had a brief but memorable role in Mystic River, is on Entertainment Weekly's new "Must List" (June 25/July 2, 2004; Christian Bale is on the cover). More importantly, for Clint fans at least, is what she has to say about "the man." See excerpts from the writeup below...
MUSTWORTHINESS: It's been a head-spinning year for the precocious opera singer-turned-actress, with roles as Sean Penn's murdered daughter in Mystic River and Jake Gyllenhaal's plucky love interest in The Day After Tomorrow. But her ascent to stardom ain't over until the ugly dude in the mask sings: Rossum has nabbed the coveted showcase part of Christine in the film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom Of The Opera.
ON HER MUST LIST: Mystic River director Clint Eastwood. "One of the most important things he taught me was that no good work can be done amidst chaos."
