the one line that is probably his best above all others comes from the scene in the dessert with the bikers.
"hey,these are our choppers charlie."
clint's reply.
"and this is my gun clyde!"
that kills me everytime!

Clint Eastwood Westerns / Re: Just watched High Plains Drifter

i think it would be easier to capyure king kong, godzilla, and bigfoot all in the same day, than it is to find a dvd copy of high plains drifter where i live at!

josey wales may be the best western ever made,it's that good.the two greatest actors of my generation are clint and john wayne, both of them were famous for making westerns, but clint was the ace behind the camera the duke was'nt!

people went to see elvis because he became a novelty.
people still go to see clint eastwood because he has been an icon his whole career, and he never had to become a novelty.besides, clint is way too cool to hang out with elvis!he did used to hang out with guns and roses though! ;D

the whole dirty harry series have more one linersthan most all the hollywood movies do combined.i love the scene when he tells the guy in the barbershop who is black-"that's mighty white of you"and he says he's going to the"vfw section"of san fran(very view whites)
somebody also tells him not to shoot at anybody and he says-"what the hell am i supposed to do?yell trick or treat at em!"nobody delivers a one liner like clint does!

he's so intense,no matter what character he plays.from the trainer inMDB to gunney highway in heartbreak ridge.i think he is so intense in the  movies he directed in the 70s and 80s is because a lot of the people who were in one movie just about all were in the other ones like geoffrey lewis.he was in high plains drifter, both of the every which way movies, just about every eastwood movie,he's in.working around people like that is comfortable, and clint shows that.
