Eastwood News / NEW BOOK in Germany / FOD screening with Marianne Koch!

In case anybody here is from Germany / Austria or Switzerland...

A friend of mine contributed to a new Eastwood book, packed with images. (Volume 1, #2 will follow)
They will present the book followed by a screening of FOD in Tutzing, south of Munich.
In attendance of Clint's co-star Marianne Koch! Free entry as well!
I might throw in a 35mm trailer reel of the Leone westerns as opnener for the program.

Off-Topic Discussion / PENDECHOS! Crowdfunding Project / restoring my first feature film

Dear friends and fellow film fans,

I just started a crowdfunding project to help restore and release my 1999 feature film PENDECHOS! (former title: ROADRUNNER).
This gangster - roadmovie was shot on Super-16mm and was the very first project I ever did, therefore it is very dear to my heart. It was inspired by a meeting with US filmmaker Robert Rodriguez who had told me how he had produced his EL MARIACHI for some $7,000.-. It was quite an adventure and everything I learned I used shortly afterwards for my Sam Peckinpah-film PASSION & POETRY – THE BALLAD OF SAM PECKINPAH.

Like EL MARIACHI I shot PENDECHOS! on film and edited on video, therefore I have to go back and transfer the complete 6 hour film negative for a new cut (HD quality). I will use the opportunity to use whatvever I have learned since then and will give the film a new narrative, new sound, a new look etc. etc.
But this is way beyond my possibilities regarding financing, hence this crowdfunding project.
I appreciate any kind of help – promotion, word-of-mouth propaganda, links …

I'm taking reference pictures of some of my archive these days, I thought I'd share some of them with you. I decided to start a new thread (I hope you're OK with this) because I mix posters, lobby cards & some stills and I also don't want to fill up the other threads - I'm gonna take some 200 reference stills I suppose ...

I'll start with COOGAN & MULES.

German A- & B-Style poster plus 25 cards (these are very hard to find, I suppose it is a set of 28, never saw the missing cards). Then there's the US 11x14 set, an Italian lobby card (photobusta), the Argentinian poster and some behind the scenes stills.

I guess some here might be interested in my new book I co-authored with Andrew Antoniades : STEVE McQUEEN – THE ACTOR AND HIS FILMS. Over the last few years a lot of new books on McQueen had been published, but all only about certain aspects of his life, no definitive volume on his films. We tried to fill that gap (check the back cover for more information). It will be available (USA / UK) from November 2011. 492 pages, hardcover with dust jacket, 5 pounds weight.

1020 illustrations: 790 photos incl. 44 full page photos; 230 artwork reproductions incl. 48 full page poster reproductions & 10 full page lobby card reproductions. (= 102 full page)
