That's a very nice collection, KC 😎

I think of all those, I'd be most interested in the Dirty Harry spinoff novels. Have you read those, AB?
Yeah, I did read them all, a long time ago though.

Here's a front and back view of all 12 books.

So, AB... no love for The Dead Pool novelization? ;)
Not my favorite DH film... I guess I didn't look hard enough 🙊😅

I do too. So little effort is put into the books I have -- they just usually use the poster art for the covers.  It's nice to see this collection with their own original art.
Agreed! 🙌🏻

Quite fortunate you found someone selling the whole set! I checked eBay and it's individual books for sale, and some of those are pretty expensive.
I checked and it turns out that I purchased #1-11 from the same seller in May 2005, believe it or not they were $1 each! Shipping is what cost me the most 😂 And #12 was bought from another seller for $5.

Looking at the stack of books, is the middle one Sudden Impact?
Yes, it is!

Chris lured me back in with this topic 😅🤗 I'm glad he did!

Pictured is the extent of my collection 😎 I have all 12. Minus a few creases on a couple of them, they're all in very good condition. I found them on eBay a while back, bought them all from the same guy who was selling his whole collection.

I really like the cover art, as well as the quote on the back of each book.

PS: Hi guys! 😉👋🏻

Easy. Skyline / city reflected on a glass ball?

You're not a thread hog Matt! ;D

I just had to work during the holidays and that meant less time being on the board.
I work in social media so I'm on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and message boards 8-10 hrs a day, 5 days a week and so when I get home the only thing I usually feel like doing is read a book or watch TV :P

But I get an alert every time you guys post something in this thread so I see your photos. Even though I don't always respond ;)

I'm here! I'm here! ^-^

This one I took last April in Manhattan Beach (south of L.A.)

I like how I got the wave BUT what bothers me about this shot is that I cropped the mast of the boat. I should have looked up just a little bit more. Oh well.

Not quite the same, I know.

Taken from The High Line in NYC.

Cool, SK. Love the High Line. The weather wasn't as nice when I took mine...  ;)

Took this one in San Francisco this past summer. With my phone. I have to say I kinda love it.

I like street photography. That's the only way I enjoy taking photos of people. Portraits are too intimate for me. Intrusive even. And I like capturing random (but meaningful, at least visually, to me) moments. I like to observe people from a distance.

The way I take my pictures pretty much reflects who I am as a person ;)

Ahhhhh!  See, my mind is too clean to have gone that direction on its own.  ;)

So she's not barefoot - she's in stilettos.
Bingo. And probably talking to a client.

Taken in one of the red light areas of the city.

Hahaha. Nope. But nice try.

Think "world's oldest profession" ;)

Can you post it larger? I can't tell.

I do like the photo a lot, though.

I could make up a story, but as for guessing what is actually going on, I wouldn't have a clue.

Is this in Paris?
Yeah it is in Paris.
The posture of the person could clue you in actually. I think.

Wow. It looks like HDR  O0

OK try and guess where this one was taken, who that person is and what is happening ;)

Before:

After:

To be completely honest, I don't dislike the "before". It needed cropping for sure. It's not uninteresting.

Oh and I like the previous one in Tenessee. I like the reflection on the water. Very nice.

This thread title sounds slightly elitist. I asked AB to do a thread like this to distinguish it from the thread for great pics we find online. But, this is for ANYONE here to post pictures that YOU take. No matter what level you consider your photography, we'll enjoy looking at your photos.
Yeah. Elitist. I thought the exact same thing. We could always change the title to make it sound a little more welcoming.
Like... *Photographers welcome! Show us YOUR stuff!* or something like that :D

Where are you at to get that shot?
Land's End Coastal Trail (one of my favorite spots in SF) :)

You bridge photos are impressive. Mainly because unless you see this, you don't really realize how much work goes into building these structures. It's one thing to see a bridge, it's another to see how it was built.

How long did it take to build the Bayside Bridge?

By the way, these crane baskets look scary!  :o

oh that's cool  8)

Here's the GGB again.
