i don't know if this has been asked before but was the first line up of recon and the play on names , abit like the line up of the dirty dozen in the prison

probably just a coincidence

yes- sven the donut has lost the art of football, the defense was horrible   :-\

yeh and anybody could read the ball into crouch, you won't win games that way, even if any of them got on target which they didn't

and crouch can't play any other way
all predictable and negative

Clint Eastwood Westerns / Re: Unforgiven 's title
« on: October 09, 2005, 12:48:17 AM »
did the original script have that title - i thought it was the william munny killings - so someone must have given it the title unforgiven?

wasn't the other film 'the unforgiven"? of which there are 2 films of that name

sylvie - i would presume "the unforgiven" would have a different translation to "unforgiven"?

Clint Eastwood Westerns / Re: Questions about Blondie and Angel Eyes

its interesting as you say tuco says it - because of their relationship a strange one at that you would wonder what sort off nickname might come out of it besides blondie and tuso does come out with expletives at times

but blondie yeh makes him seem americano, like whitey etc.

quite bito there isn't an european team who can play anything like brazil unfortunately, but that not to say brazil isn't without some negativity in their game

by the way they said if english league  took on all these foreign players it would be good for the english league games, instead its got worse and more negative and less goals have been scored, and the england team play worse (i am not saying all foreign players but certainly there should be only a certain amount so that
the home players get a chance)

like the person who took on sven without a clause to kick the donut out, it seems they don't think first

Two-hour bus tour to explore 'Hidden Secrets of Fort Ord'

CSU-Monterey Bay's Fort Ord Alumni Association will offer a tour of the "Hidden Secrets of Fort Ord" on Oct. 15.

The public is invited to tour seldom-seen places on the historic former Army base, where 2 million people -- including Clint Eastwood, Jerry Garcia and Elvis Presley -- went through basic training before the installation was closed. CSUMB, which opened its doors in 1994, occupies about 1,400 acres of the former base.

The two-hour guided bus tour will make stops at the stockade, where Army protesters and deserters were held during the Vietnam War; the Impossible City, an urban warfare training zone; and the East Garrison area.

Held in conjunction with the Marina Air Faire, the buses will load at the Marina Airport on Reservation Road and depart every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each tour will take about two hours. Admission is $10 for the public and $5 for students and active or retired military members.

Proceeds will benefit the Fort Ord Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.

For information or directions, or to purchase tickets, call 582-3595, or e-mail foaa.csumb.edu.

Off-Topic Discussion / earthquake and floods

condolences to all the people affected by the earthquake and those in central america by the floods :-\

it seems we might see some more of this, i think one should consider the earth a bit, eg. before you pull up a tree or rip up grass for patio, just ask yourself do you need to do it

or when you buy a car go for one that does good mileage to the gallon, less fumes in the air

anyway something like that

Clint Eastwood Westerns / Tuco or Angel Eyes
« on: October 06, 2005, 06:04:56 AM »
if you had to say which one was the worse character.

Tuco did some bad things to blondie and angel eyes had tuco beaten.

or maybe the worse is blondie (nah can't be him) although he did leave tuco in the desert to die
