Fabulous actor. I got to meet him once, at a recording of Designing Women (he was married to Dixie Carter) and he was very friendly. At the time, I was a big fan of his horror films The Fog and Creepshow and missed the opportunity to talk about corrupt cops! In fact, looking back, there were about 10 other films I could have talked about, all better than the 2 I did choose. Still, something different for him I guess.

RIP.

No cameo in this one palooka?

Sadly not this time Schofield.

I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. A very solid film which was interesting from start to finish. Performances were excellent. Looking forward to a second viewing with Mrs Palooka.

Just for clarity to members. I picked this conversation up with Gunsmoke via email.

5
Hi Gunsmoke, what's your budget?

Well, the labelling looks suspect for a start. If Eastwood's name needed to be added internally, it would likely have a change number or scene reference noted. In addition, looks like that was written yesterday.

So without even going on a search, the alarm bells are ringing.

Please can you post some pictures of the autograph, sketch and DH photo?

Guys I need to know.
Was Palooka's performance any good?

Sadly, I wasn't involved with this one. I'm sure the end product is greatly improved as a result!

Great writer. The Princess Bride is my all time favourite movie, and one of my favourite books. RIP.

I'm afraid that is not Clint's autograph.

Sad news indeed. I was lucky enough to meet him on a couple of occasions and he was an absolute gent.

Agree with the above, although Smokey and Cannonball are great fun - Deliverance is his best. (then Boogie Nights)

Eastwood News / Bill Gold RIP

So sad to lose Bill.

I corresponded with him and his daughter on a number of occasions. A huge influence on how the world saw Clint.

Personally I enjoyed it. I thought it was deliberately mundane to emphasize the reality of it all for three regular guys on holiday.

I thought the three leads themselves were also fine. Their dialogue however was not. A terrible script in my opinion and it was the words they said, not how they said it, which came across so poorly.

^Very nice! Where should we look for you in the film? 8)

Right at the end in the medal ceremony. As the President walks in (camera starts behind him, alone), my wife and I are the first people he passes.

I thought, now the movie is released, I can go ahead and share a couple of images taken on my day of filming.

Another "true life" story but it'll be wonderful to see the great man in front of the camera again.

That one looks like it might be OK.  Global Authentics are generally pretty good and it does give you the reassurance of being able to re sell it on afterwards with their COA.

That's great palooka. Do you only act in Clint's films or do you appear in other films as well?

"Act" might be a bit of a stretch! I have a friend who is an assistant director and he got me in "Edge of Tomorrow", "24 Live Another Day" and Bob Hoskins' last film ""Outside Bet".
