What do you think is the most undeserving Best Picture? Explain what should have won that year.

What Won           Should Have Won

Driving Miss Daisy : Glory

Yeah ,I'll never understand how this film won best picture and director Bruce Beresford wasn't even nominated for best director. And Glory "didn't" get a best picture nomination at all.
There's some unusual picks every year in each categories.

I know this is a little off topic but was Jack Nicholson sitting in the front row with his sunnies on this year.I don't seem to remember seeing him. That's always one of the highlights for me( apart from a Clint film doing well ).Then again he may have boycotted the event since Billy Crystal didn't host. The Ox bow Incident.
The 2nd best western of all time, starring Henry Fonda,Harry Morgan,Dana Andrews and Harry Davenport.Maybe Clint should think of remaking this for his last western?

The Tuxedo
Starring Jackie Chan

I was disappointed with this.It is not the usual Jackie Chan movie with plenty of action and fight scenes, but it only went for 90 minutes so it didn't drag on.

2 out of 5 .

I haven't seen this film for a while but the one scene that I'll never forget is when Patrick McGoohan orders that all the paint and supplies from Roberts Blossom's room be removed and I'll never forget the hatred I felt towards him ( the warden ) for that ( the mark of a great actor ).Another good early role I saw of Patrick McGoohan lately was in Hell Drivers ( 1957 ) an english movie with plenty of well known actors from the british film industry.Another performance when I really wanted to see him get what's coming to him.

I really don't have a favorite author but I've read a few of Jeffrey Archer and John Grisham books in the last couple of years which I enjoyed.
I really enjoy reading a novel of a movie that I've seen and I'm going in search of Million Dollar Baby tomorrow. O0

« on: March 04, 2005, 04:18:00 AM »
I saw an episode of Without a Trace this week that guest starred Chad Lowe ( Hilary Swank's real life husband ) and Andy Robinson.Who was credited as Andrew.J.Robinson.Any reason why "Scorpio" is now billed this way and is it a recent change? ;)
