it was always that way - they say the car turned into dean's path - probably not expecting to see a car move that fast - if they saw it all

although someone said you usually see dust if a car is moving fast

Eastwood News / Re: At last!! A European DVD release of 'Bird'?

i try to buy stuff from england thanks grizzled, i am sure the german release is excellent - but if the english  ones are not up to standard you hope people pressure will make them produce them better

i was reading about are board censorship and how bad it is compared to to usa by cutting pieces etc. out of films - its about time then our censorship board got it right or at least took a time check to see if they are not making it difficult for some releases

i don't think thats quite proven - give the guy a chance  :-\

he was a good actor - didn't prove he was a great one

perhaps like others he would have drifted into seclusion

mcqueen and him were similar - mcqueen quit for a long time then kinda tried to come back

Eastwood News / Re: Flags of Our Fathers production news [merged]

With Steven Spielberg producing and the "Million Dollar Baby" team of director Clint Eastwood and writer Paul Haggis linking up once again, you just know that "Flags of Our Fathers" is going to be something special. While taking a break from the film's production, star Paul Walker offered a rare peek at the story of the six brave men who raised the flag at the World War II Battle of Iwo Jima: "I play this guy, Hank Hansen ... he was a platoon guide and was also a sergeant ... a real snazzy guy, dressed real sharp," Walker said. "They had a nickname for him; they called him the Count because everything was so neatly pressed when he'd go to battle. I guess everything was just super tight; he wanted to die in style." Although Walker has been unable thus far to make contact with Hansen's descendents, he hopes they will attend the film's premiere so he can meet them face to face — a thrill he said would be on an equal level with working for the legendary Eastwood. "This is a big movie, [but] it feels like we're working on an independent project," he said. "Not in the sense that things are unorganized — quite the contrary. Things are so together, so tight. You go, 'OK that's what years of experience brings you.' " The drama, which also stars Ryan Phillippe and Jesse Bradford, is due in theaters next year

Eastwood News / Re: "First Man" next project?

cool holden -  you wouldn't felt like going to the moon in it or space?

on the tv they have been showing a series called space race - the race between the usa and russia, its been excellent

its interseting because often a biography is better as a documantary than as a film, a film being hard to sustain the whole 1 - 2 hours

eh close umm nevermind

why not just get the dvd?  >:(

yes quite too simple

but i expect ce gets some payment for the film being shown

anyway the film is terrific so it gets out to an audience of cable watchers

i think its cool to watch MDB if you watch an unfinished life because morgan freeman is in both - they are giving it a similar write up

don't think its as good as MDB from the write up and ce isn't it
