Woah. I was worried about Higgy -- no idea you were there too.
I'm in Tokyo right now and felt those tremors last night.. Thought my room was gonna shake apart..,

When we watched NHK World the day before yesterday, the screen turned red and suddenly the Breaking News began!! :o :o
I was feeling very uneasy reminding me of 2011 3 .11!!  ??? :(  And I worried about my friends' safety in the Kanto region and were calling!
Fortunately, the tsunami like 5 years ago did not occur and I was relieved!!

OMG!! Gant was in Tokyo?  I am glad that you are safe!!
But please be careful during your stay in Japan. Because it can still happen! ???
Please cover your head with a hat when you are going out! And when your are in room and if  you encounter a big earthquake, you escape to the toilet but do not close the door!!    In addition the weather forecast predicted that the snowfall in Tokyo !! :o   (And again it already snowed two weeks ago in PARIS !!  :o)

Take care of you Gant and hope you enjoy Japan anyway!! :)

2016 is a year with 13 new moons! And there was the greatest super moon too!!  Unfortunately they do not seem to have a positive impact on the attraction of the moon!   In Japan, for example, there was a great earthquake that occurred in Kyushu in April and Hokkaido was hit by the typhoon for the first time and suffered great damage!  :(     Ecuador, Italy also suffered by the great earthquakes!  :(   And in other parts of the world there were many damage from floods caused by typhoons!  :(

And 2016 is not over yet!  What will happen from now?  ???
In any case I just pray safety for you all !!

I did not know that the Japanese had been encountered this accident until now!!  :o
T · Hanks & A · Eckert in Japan, face-to-face with Japanese passengers to experience the "Hudson miracle of the river"

In the promotion of "miracle of the Hudson River" 16 September, Tom Hanks and Aaron Eckhart attended the press conference was held at The Ritz-Carlton in Tokyo. They had the first meeting with Mr. Deguchi and Mr.Takigawa, who at the time, encountered the actual accident as a passenger!

As they did not know in fact that there were Japanese victims!, '' Want to hear what they had the kind of experience in this case? '' Eckert said  "I'm really surprised! '' I want to hear, the baggage back? I'm very curious," said Hanks!!
According to M,Takigawa and M.Deguchi, when an accident occurs "Everyone was quiet and orderly! '' 'Everyone was united in an instant, so Miracle was realised !!'

General Discussion / Re: Eastwood Movie Challenge

Last August and September were melancholy and sullen every day for me because suddenly appeared skin disease!!  ??? :-X
I thought it was urticaria because I was eating a lot of fruits of the sea when I was traveling in Brittany!  :o
But the medicine that my doctor prescribed was ineffective, so I had to undergo hospital biopsy to determine the cause...  ???:-X
The results after three weeks of waiting not know the cause! .... So I had to wait to disappear naturally!  ???
I think it was because of fatigue and stress more the unusual heat this summer in Paris !!  ???
So unfortunately I did not have a lot of happy feelings to visit here !!  :-[   But nevertheless, I watched more or less all Eastwood's movies ..... 8)
Any case, I still have time yet, because the release date of "SULLY" in France is November 30th only! So it's impossible to complete this challenge in Matt's schedule for me !!  :(
Besides, I do not watch "American Sniper" even I have this DVD! (This was the first film of Eastwood that I did not go see at the theater a long time! But I saw it on TV once anyway ...)  :-[

Anyway, thanks to this challenge I watched "Pink Cadillac" and some movies I would not see by myself certainly, and the entire film "The Witches" and "Vanessa in the Garden" too !!  8)

Matt, Thank you for giving me this occasion!  :)

 " Ichiro triples in 7th for 3,000th career hit "        Congratulations, Ichiro !!  and continue for long times!!  O0 O0 O0  8)

DENVER -- Ichiro Suzuki became the 30th player in MLB history to collect his 3,000th hit, tripling off Rockies left-handed reliever Chris Rusin in the seventh inning on Sunday.

In his professional career, Ichiro has 4,278 hits -- 1,278 in Japan and 3,000 in Major League Baseball. Pete Rose, MLB's Hit King, finished his career with 4,256 hits in the Majors.

I would watch '' Letters from Iwo Jima '' on August 15, the anniversary of end of war in Japan and the day which Mr.Eastwood has published about  '' Letters from Iwo Jima '' in major newspapers in Japan!  :)
