'' Bird '' is a hard and dark film because of drug story but may be covered by the jazz of Charlie Parker and Chan's affection for Charlie! :)

I notice that despite his physique, Whitaker's voice is very soft! I saw Forest Whitaker in Paris a few years ago that he was really big man!!
I watched '' Bird '' once but I rewound that and listened twice!!
I often re-watch the same DVD on the occasion of this challenge!!  But that's only the films I prefer particularly obviously!!  ;)

 TOPIC: CLINT & ALI

 http://www.clinteastwood.org/forums/index.php?topic=6276.0

I do recall that Clint credited Ali with inspiring him to add a scene to the Bronco Billy script ...
Quote
For Bronco Billy, I added a number of scenes myself. For example, the one of the holdup at the bank. I'd attended a match of Muhammad Ali's, and after his victory, while reporters were bombarding him with questions like, "How did you place that lightning left hook in the last round?" all he would answer was, "I just want to say hello to my pals. And I'm eager to thank my father, my uncle, the reverend So-and-so, etc." That gave me the idea of the sequence where Billy is asked about the holdup, but his only thought is to promote his show.
(From an interview in Positif, no. 287 (January 1985); reprinted in Clint Eastwood: Interviews, p. 106.)

R.I.P. Ali.

I don't think I've ever dreamed of any of those things. :(

 Me neither!!

I saw Mount Fuji and hawk several times! And eggplant is one of my favorite vegetables! :)
Nevertheless, these three have never appeared in my dream !!  :-\

 Again, amazing Ichiro!!  O0

MIAMI -- Whether it's at the plate or in the field, 42-year-old Marlins outfielder Ichiro Suzukicontinues to always be a factor. Thursday night's 4-3 12-inning win over the Pirates was certainly no exception.

With his two-hit night -- a third-inning single and a run scored, and a fourth-inning double -- Ichiro is up to 2,965 career hits, and is 22 away from tying Sam Rice (2,987) for 30th place on Major League Baseball's all-time list. Ichiro is also just 35 away from the 3,000-hit milestone.
If that weren't enough, Ichiro recorded his 501st career stolen base, swiping second in the seventh inning after reaching on an error.

Quote
"Typical Ichiro; couple of hits, making plays in the outfield, the diving play," manager Don Mattingly said. "It was a really good night for him. Obviously a lot of good things from [Ichiro], including getting on base in that last inning to start that [game-winning rally]."

Ichiro Suzuki went 2-for-5 with with a walk, reaching base four times and stealing one as well as making two outstanding defensive plays

Today Marlins has been lost to NYM but Ichiro PH in seven innings, did stolen bases twice!  So Japan and the U.S. stolen base total is now 703!!  O0

It is considered lucky in Japan to dream of an eggplant in the first dream of the new year.  🍆

Matt! on earth where did you know that?  :o

In Japan, the saying "Hatsuyume" (first dream of the year) brings good luck and happiness!  :)
But you have to have three things!!  :o

First is Ichifuji (Mt Fuji), Second is hawk, and third is eggplant!  :o

A combination of the three, since the Edo period (Shogun TOKUGAWA Ieyasu) was already there, there are the following theories about its origin.......

Tokugawa high order of Suruga country is the land of Mt. Fuji.

Taka (Hawk) is intelligent and strong bird!

The first fruits of eggplant is very high price! :o

 Good luck!!  ;)

We had not seen it in Paris in May since 1873. As Marc Hay points out, one of BFMTV weather specialists, such an accumulation of precipitation was not recorded since 1873.

 And the rain continues .

With at present 170 mm rainfall since 1 May, the month of May 2016 was the second wettest month since 1873! However far behind July 2001.

When I was in Reims this weekend, it rained often unfortunately!!  :(

I forgot to mention, but it seems that the year worrying because there are 13 new moon this year !! So, take care, everybody!!  ???

 MOMENTS THAT MATTERED

Quote
Ichiro remains a hit: No Christian Yelich in left field, no problem for the Marlins. Ichiro, starting his third straight game because of Yelich's back spasms, collected three hits off Moore and four hits on the night. In the past three games, Ichiro has 10 hits, including a pair of four-hit games. Ichiro now has 2,960 career hits, leaving him 40 shy of 3,000, and is closing in on Sam Crawford (2,964) for 31st place all time. The Marlins actually used Yelich as a decoy and announced him as a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning, but once Tampa Bay brought in lefty Enny Romero, Yelich was replaced by Gillespie.
