Here's my top ten list of favorite Hitchcock movies. It's difficult to put them in any kind of an order because they're all so good. It goes something like this...

Vertigo (1958)
Shadow of a Doubt (1943)
Psycho (1960)
North by Northwest (1959)
Rear Window (1954)
Lifeboat (1944)
The Birds (1963)
Strangers on a Train (1951)
Notorious (1946)
Dial M for Murder (1954)

There are several more that I haven't seen in a while and want to pick up on DVD.

Honorable mention needs to go to 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents' and 'The Alfred Hitchcock Hour', TV anthology series' I watched as a youngster that got me interested in Hitchcock in the first place.

Speaking of "thread police," I edited JMG's post so you could see where the quote from higashimori left off. ;)

I was wondering why my post didn't look quite right. Somehow the '[/quote]' got behind my response, I don't know why. I'll know what to look for if this happens again.

 :)  Hi, JMG !  We have " " too !   ;D  ;D  ;D    ;)

      And for Gant's  Honkytonk Man , too !   ;D  ;D  ;D  ;)

Hello higashimori,

I wasn't aware we had a 'Alfred Hitchcock' thread going until you bought it to my attention. After putting some thought into it I'll come up with a top 5 or top 10 of my favorite Hitchcock movies and post them in this thread. I've been a Hitchcock fan for many years. Thanks for the heads up.

On St. Patrick's Day we broke a 103 year old record with a high of 75°F. First time I've been out of the house without a coat since October. It only lasted for one day though, it's 20°F right now. The Winter That Would Not End is finally coming to a close.   O0

Thanks for the heads up.

I've been looking for a good bio in book form on Clint Eastwood, this might be the one. I recorded 'Clint Eastwood - Man From Malpaso' years ago on A&E (I think), it was very good but there's nothing like sitting down with a good book.

Kind of Blue - Miles Davis (1959)

Was it any good, JMG?

Yeah, it's a good old fashioned western shoot 'em up with a very impressive cast. I've seen Rawhide a couple of times, it was on AMC yesterday so I pulled up a chair and watched it. Well worth your while, IMO. You can read about it here...

Right. Don't sign any papers. I was lucky enough to miss out on getting drafted (1972) for Viet Nam by a matter of a few months.  8)

Crazy weather. High today 60°F, two inches of rain expected tonight with wind gusts of over 50 MPH, lots of flooding going on, thankfully I'm on high ground, about three miles from the Rock River. Low tonight of 20°F. High Wednesday 30°F with a low of 10°F tomorrow night. I hear spring is coming but I'm starting to have my doubts.

Just a seem to have the questions you would like to ask in order, have you tried your local U.S. Army or Marine recruiting center? Tell them you're doing a research paper on the United States military. If the contact can't answer your questions, I'll bet they could lead you to someone who could or, at the very least, lead you to a web site that might be of service. You've got nothing to lose.

I wish to God they'd stop doing this. Set your clocks back one hour in the fall, ahead one hour in the spring. It's nothing short of mentally retarded and screws people up. Just one man's opinion.  :D  ;D

You're looking live...from Las Vegas...Cubs/White Sox on WGN TV. We got baseball and I've got some hotdogs left over, a Heineken or six. Life is... indeed... good.  O0   :D

Both 'Cape Fear' movies were great, IMO. Robert De Niro was especially intense in the remake. One of my favorite actors. The 'Cape Fear' remake was one of the few times when the remake just might have been better than the original.

So far, the Cubs are undefeated in spring training games. They're setting me up for a fall again, I just know they are. Every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in!  :-\  ;D

Robin Meade on Headline News had a short clip on the wild fires in Australia. They're flaring up again due to high winds and the high temps are back. I thought things were calming down.   :(

Ah yes. Baseball's back. Cubs/Dodgers on WGN 720 AM radio. Pat Hughes and Ron Santo are back in the booth broadcasting the Cubs first spring training game from Arizona. Micha Hoffpauir has just hit a grand slam to put the Cubs ahead 5-3. Bottom of the sixth. I gotta go out and get some hot dogs.  :D
