Personally I'd like Eastwood to do another movie in the music film like Bird or in that realm. If he ends up doing A Star Is Born' I'll just watch Joe Kidd on dvd.

I'm batting pretty close to 1,000 for being un-clairvoyant, but, I gotta hunch for choice b too.

Here's hoping!

Im also hoping for choice B as well.  With that said Im pretty sure we will hear what Clints going to do next pretty soon.  He really enjoys working and I dont think even at his age he likes taking too much time off.  And its obvious he can still perform at a very high level even at age 84 so he is still in very high demand.

A parallel to The Bird. I would call it; Where the Comedy Came From, and it would be a look into vaudeville focusing on the life of Gracie Burns. There's a life that needs more examination.

Paladin's mentor.

Interestingly, Richard Boone played both Paladin and Paladin's elderly mentor.

Junior can be Paladin. Can he handle a sixgun? Somebody  ;) might teach him.

A suggestion: Paladin's mentor is packing Blondie's 1851 Navy when he discovers and recruits his protege.

Mentor = Blondie? I'll never tell. And in his traditional habit, Clint may never tell. Clint might keep you guessing.  ;D

One of Paladin's admirable traits was his intention to settle his cases without violence. He always bent over backwards to avoid gunplay. But he had superior skills: he was the first one to demonstrate on screen the shtick from Unforgiven in which Munny was confronted by 3 drawn guns and gunned his way out of it. Paladin was on horseback when confronted by 2 (or was it 3, in all the excitement I lost count myself) drawn and cocked rifles whereupon Paladin explained; Gentlemen, I can draw and drop all of you before you can pull your triggers!

Paladin's wealth and inheritance back East are his mentor's bequest. There will be a deathbed meeting of Paladin and Mentor.

You are welcome.

Manwith

PS..... I want to write the screenplay/script. My qualification? I like Paladin. :coolsmiley: And Clint.  8)

Yeah, you'd think he'd have something in the works, or announced by now. But, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

There's nothing concrete on that as yet, though.

If you search the Sully production news thread you'll see that the first confirmation news surfaced in June 2015 almost 6 months after the release of American Sniper & my original post.Suppose we'll have to wait till March before we start warring about a possible retirement.

My assumption was that "Impossible Odds" was planned to be next, but KC is right that beyond the project being announced, there hasn't been any movement on the project. At the time Eastwood optioned the book, the script had not even been written yet, so it may or not be ready to go into production.

Still ain't sure yet. The only thing that troubles me is that he recently wore the MWNM costume. This could be some kind of farewell.

Personally I don't think Eastwood is retiring or ever will. I think Eastwood's next film will probably be another ' I didn't see that coming' type of film. Gran Torino came about that way. I'll take anything as long as his son isn't in it.
