Sad news to see this morning that Geoffrey Lewis has died at the age of 79. He was so great in High Plains Drifter, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, and the Which Way movies.

I've always wondered how close of friends that Lewis and Clint were since he was in so many of Eastwood films.  He brought a lot of humor to his characters....

The first time I ever saw him was in High Plains Drifter and, to be honest, he scared the crap out of me.  LOL

His acting was riveting in how he portrayed such a mean, viscious character.  Made me think of how I would NOT want to met this guy in a dark alley.  Then, a few years later, I watched him in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, the two Every Which Way movies, and his characters were the exact opposite -- very likeable and affable.  Showed me the tremendous range of his acting talent.

So very sorry to see he has passed away.  He was a wonderful actor and, from what I've read, an equally wonderful man.
