... The trailer above seems to be selling the “based on a true story” drama as a kind of investigative thriller, akin to Denzel Washington’s Flight. Of course, that 2.5-hour and R-rated Robert Zemeckis drama earned $161 million worldwide off a $31m budget back in November of 2012. So that’s not a bad marketing schematic from which to borrow, especially as the trailer smartly presumes that most watching will be aware of what happened 7.5 years ago. ...
CONFIRMED: the first trailer for Clint Eastwood's SULLY arrives this week with THE LEGEND OF TARZAN
I can't believe all the negativity surrounding what film Clint might make next. If I hear Clint is in talks or something official is announced, I'm not asking what type of film is it, I just can't wait for it to be released. For the last 6 or 7 years it seems to be a trend on this board though. I mean everyone is entitled to their opinion but it is always very negative when it comes to what Clint is doing next or might do. If it was announced tomorrow that Clint was making a documentary of the life of an ant, I wouldn't care. The man has just turned 85 and is still working and giving us much entertainment. It's the same with how much money his films make. American Sniper raked it in but his last few before that didn't, I couldn't care less. As long as he keeps making films, I'm happy.
Cool, definitely looking forward to seeing the trailer for this. I am looking forward to it, but I feel the trailer could make me look forward to it more. Hopefully that's the case.
I just saw the trailer during NBC's summer Olympics broadcast around 8:24 PM Central (9:24 Eastern, 6:24 Pacific).
