Through the window shot while driving -- and unfortunately there's motion blur, but I still like it.

Thanks. :)

This creek was impossible to get a photo of that was better than this, I went down a steep embankment to get down to shoot it, and then there was a cliff -- so I couldn't get closer, and I really couldn't go side to side much.  It's not even all that impressive, but I like creek-in-the-woods images a lot, so I had to get one.

My city Teresina turns 164 years old today. I have been in many wonderful places around the world but this is the one I belong and where I want to be as long as I live.

Good mornin', America... how are ya?

(It's actually a sunset, but that song was going through my head when I saw this out the window.)

This is just above Nashville, TN.

Here's a fun before/after.  This was another through-the-window-while-driving shot while driving through the Pocanos. I wanted one good shot, but driving between two engagements with no time to spare to stop and take a photo. I didn't bring my good camera this trip, so this is a cell phone photo, and the quality was horrible -- the colors were bad, and it wasn't too sharp either. So I decided to play in Photoshop, and I got something I like out of it. Nothing I'd hang up and frame, but there's a lot of Photoshopping on this one to make it at least desirable.

Here is just one of the pictures I took with my new phone during my weekend in the country last week. It was taken in my friend's garden:

I'd like to post more, but they mostly need cropping and/or some other touchups. When I get time!

I used a 40-150mm zoom on a tripod, with camera on manual setting and bracketed just about every aperture/shutter speed combo. I took about 60 photos, and got about 5 with depth and shadows. Didn't have to play with this at all in Photoshop (just cropped it). But, I waited too long in the night, the moon was very high in the sky.  Tomorrow should be just as good for getting the shot, and hopefully I'll remember to shoot earlier in the night when it's lower and maybe get to see some craters.

Cool. Looks like cloud is going to ruin any chance for me to see it tonight.

Without a tripod or a high-powered zoom, and with all of the light pollution in the city, all I could hope to do was show the moon with respect to a known landmark ... in this case the twin towers of the Time Warner Center, as seen from my building's courtyard garden:

That's a cool shot -- you can see how bright it is. It's like a spotlight.

What a moon tonight! I shot it when it was low in the sky this time.

High clouds here tonight. The best I could do was go for the "atmospheric" ...

Great shots Matt and KC.

Driving to work just after 4am and the clouds parted for a couple minutes, so I pulled over and took this shot with my phone
