I posted one photo I took yesterday in the Season's Greetings thread.

Here's a couple more, from Central Park yesterday afternoon:

The temperature had gotten up 72░ F/22░ C, smashing the old record for the day! It is still 64░F/17.8░ C as I type.

I always hear the Beatles song "Free As A Bird" when I look at this picture.

We had a full moon on Christmas Day this year for the first time since 1977 ... the next one won't be until 2034. Because it was dreary and drizzly all day, I thought we would miss it in New York City, but as luck would have it, it peeked out from the clouds just as I was coming home from a late movie at the Film Society of Lincoln Center. This shot shows part of the plaza at Lincoln Center with a sculpture by Henry Moore:

It's cool that you were able to get the moon just by hand-holding it. That's a great shot.

I knew this thread would inspire me to take more photos. I went out tonight and I got my best photos of Nashville yet. I took them from the Pedestrian Bridge, and this is a shot of the bridge.

And out of about 180 photos taken, I think this is my best one. I still have to spend some more time looking through them, but I'm happy with the lights reflecting on the water, and the cloud were perfect tonight after heavy storms all afternoon.

My favorite vertical shot from last night.

Sorry for repeating myself... I learned a few new tricks on Photoshop tonight and I think I've got another new favorite Nashville pic. :)

Those "star filters" are incredibly difficult to do in Photoshop (very easy to do with an actual star filter if you have one).  I never even wanted a star filter, but tonight I thought this picture just needed some extra pizzazz, and alas, the star filter was just right.

I'm no photographer but this is one of my favourites that I took, I think it was one week before Christmas. :)

A little envious you had snow around Christmas, Satu. ;)

That is a great shot. Love the color of the sky in the background too.

That was especially what I loved about this photo, too. Sometimes during the winter the light gets almost magical and mysterious.

I love it too! Are those bird prints in the snow?

No, they're my foot prints. And our dog's paw prints. The snow was fresh, wasn't even plowed yet.

AB, it's been a while since you've posted a picture. How about it? :)

Here's another pic from the Pedestrian Bridge in Nashville. I put on my long zoom to look around, and there wasn't too much of interest except this church and its twin steeples, and with the sunset colors, it was pretty. (That large thing on the right is part of the Bridgestone Arena, where the Nashville Predators (hockey) play, and a lot of our bigger concerts are held there).

I'm here! I'm here! ^-^

This one I took last April in Manhattan Beach (south of L.A.)

I like how I got the wave BUT what bothers me about this shot is that I cropped the mast of the boat. I should have looked up just a little bit more. Oh well.

I'm here! I'm here! ^-^

It's good to see you back. I sometimes post more pics here because I like to see you back on the board to check the thread. So stick around or I'm going to look like a thread hog (and NO ONE would ever think THAT of ME, right?  ::))

I like that picture a lot. I usually struggle with how I want to shoot moving water, whether to freeze it like you did with a quick shutter speed, or a slow speed to show the motion of the water. But I LOVE what you did here. Wonderful shot!  O0

You're not a thread hog Matt! ;D

I just had to work during the holidays and that meant less time being on the board.
I work in social media so I'm on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and message boards 8-10 hrs a day, 5 days a week and so when I get home the only thing I usually feel like doing is read a book or watch TV :P

But I get an alert every time you guys post something in this thread so I see your photos. Even though I don't always respond ;)
