KC! I've got great news for you! :)

From an email I got today:

More info here:

https://www.cruisenorway.com/explore/12-day-round-trip-coastal-norway-from-hurtigruten?utm_source=cc&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=cc-email-cnsolotraveler120218

Exactly what is needed:   A guarantee! Do it!

Tempting. But summer would be the best time to plan it. Right now, with temperatures in NYC in the single digits and teens, and a "Nor'easter" snowstorm coming in a couple of days ... I'm not sure I want to go on a wintertime cruise, even with Northern Lights! :o

The morning of February 14, 2018 finds me at a doctor’s appointment across the street from Revere Beach.

A few quick phone camera pics from our Snow Day in New York City today:

Maison Kayser, the French bakery café where I took a break (inside) when I was going stir crazy ... They may have been a bit overly optimistic about the weather on the first full day of spring:

Pigeons have to make a living too, and they don't get a Snow Day:

The witch hazel in my building's front yard has been blooming for a while now. Today it was probably asking itself "Why?"

My building's private garden ... across the courtyard is our sister building. This was taken at about 4 PM today.

^ I hear them calling in Central Park, even in the snow, but haven't managed to glimpse one yet.

Great photo, Matt! :)

Look who I caught wandering through my backyard this afternoon...

She had a mate hanging back in the woods a bit -- couldn't get a good pic of him.

Pah, a pop culture reference. Can't expect me to get those.

Though, of course, the expression "cold turkey" is not unknown to me in other contexts. I really should have gotten that one ... might have, if you had said "It's 33° in Tennessee today," or something of the sort. I kept envisioning snow-covered turkeys.

This House Finch family has built their nest on the top of one of the columns on my front porch. This spot houses a nest every Spring, but this is the first time the birds haven't been too skittish for photos at feeding time.

A couple more from outside Dad’s cabin in Naples, Maine recently, April 27.  I took more but only wanted to include the best.
