Is anyone interested in watching the entire Eastwood filmography along with me (not "live - in real time" like in Movie Nights). I figure 2 movies a week, and it will take just over half a year. It's going to be fun to get reacquainted with the films again, and would be more enjoyable if anyone else is up to the Eastwood Movie Challenge.

If so, I count 58 movies, with possibly two more:  The Witches, and Dave Brubeck: In His Own Sweet Way (I don't own either of these yet, but will get them if anyone else is interested).

If anyone wants to do this with me, I'll post a schedule, and we'll just post here random thoughts or reviews of the movies as we click them off the list.

It can be fun. Who's interested?

I did this a few years ago starting with A Fistful Of Dollars and worked my way through to whatever Clint's last film was at the time. It was fun.

I'd like to do it again although I think I'll be struggling to keep up with 2 films a week.

That's why it's a challenge!

Actually, I was thinking with Sully set to be released on September 9th, I can set the schedule to end the week prior to that. So I can spread it out to be more like 8 months. :)

If you post a schedule I'll try to keep up with it, though I can't promise. It would be good to re-acquaint myself with Clint's entire œuvre. There are a lot of them I haven't seen in a long time.

Great, there's three of us so far. I'll post the schedule tomorrow, and we'll start in about two weeks. That will give others time to see this thread and get mentally prepared for the greatness that is an entire 8 months of constant Clint Eastwood movie watching.

Now, who else is with us?

That sounds like a cool idea. But unfortunately I don't currently own all of his movies. I think I'm about 10 or so short. I may have to wait and do this next yr. But great idea!

Why not follow along with as many of the movies as you have? :)

Yes, absolutely ... do the ones you have, and if you miss a few, that's okay. It will still be fun to chime in with your thoughts as we go through them together.

And you can always get the last ten as we get close to them. Amazon prices are ridiciulous on some of these movies ... as cheap as rental prices.

Here's the master schedule. The "Catch Up" days are if you fall behind (of course, you can always watch 3 movies in a week to catch up, but this makes it a little easier).  Also, I put three Extras in as Bonus movies, if you want to watch them, I've inserted them in the proper places. I didn't put them on the main schedule so that anyone who doesn't have them doesn't feel that they failed the challenge by not watching them. If you're a hardcore completest, all the Eastwood movies prior to A Fistful of Dollars can be watched over the next two weeks (before we officially start).

I might scratch the bonus film Dave Brubeck off. Our site's Filmography shows that Clint directed it, but upon a little more research, it seems that Bruce Ricker did (that should be fixed!)

Anyone have opinions on this? If Clint was producer only, then there would be a lot more than this we would include, and I'm really only looking at his directing and acting projects.

Why not include "Vanessa in the Garden" as a bonus instead.

Okay, I've switched that out -- it's in there in the 1985 slot. That's for hardcore collectors - I've never even seen it. So, it's a bonus only for anyone who wants to watch it again.

I'm leaving Casper out. Sorry, SK. But, you can watch it! :)

I didn't remember that one (and I've never seen it).  I'll add it in as a Bonus for anyone who wants to watch that.

Sounds like some fun.

I'll straggle along best I can with my limited little collection of films.
