Doug, are you in?

No, thanks. I did do something like it in 2006 leading up to the release of Flags of Our Fathers. But I didn't start until September and Flags was released in October, so I barely had a month and a half, and I was watching a lot of other movies during the same period. My intention had been to watch every single one in chronological order, but ended up having to skip some, mostly ones I'd seen rather recently. You can look up the 2006 movie journal thread (there's probably a link to it in the 2016 movie journal thread, if that's still going on) and see how well I did.

There are some Eastwood movies I want to watch again this year, but not a lot. Come back to me in ten years.  :)

This sounds like a fun idea. I unfortunately can't participate. I don't own a DVD player, and all my Eastwood DVD's are at my parents house in California, and not in DC where I currently live :(

I found it HERE and you did do very well!

Sounds like some fun.

I'll straggle along best I can with my limited little collection of films.

Why not include "Vanessa in the Garden" as a bonus instead.

Okay, I've switched that out -- it's in there in the 1985 slot. That's for hardcore collectors - I've never even seen it. So, it's a bonus only for anyone who wants to watch it again.
Amazing Stories used to be on Netflix. I think I watched that episode and maybe one or two others when it was available. However, I just checked and it's not still on there.

Sounds like a fun idea. I might jump in from time to time (though I was thinking of watching Unforgiven coming up soon).

Some of you who don't have all the movies might want to check your local library -- many titles might be available.

Maybe we could pick one or two of the films to do as a Movie Night. We haven't had one in years (and I haven't had one in 8 years).

There seems to be a lot of interest. What say you?

Yeah, a movie night would be fun. I've never properly taken part in one, but I should be able to here sometime.

SK, I'll let you pick the next Movie Night. Look over our schedule, and pick one that we haven't done yet. Let's see if we can get some interest in one again.

Maybe the Paint Your Wagon drinking game Movie Night?

Paint Your Wagon is the first film from the schedule that we haven't done. :)

Okay, now we just have to make sure enough people doing our Challenge own this movie.

Higgy, do you have it?

I know Christopher does. C-man, if we do this one you HAVE to be there.

MWNA? Palooka?

Yes, I have Paint Your Wagon. ;D

Satu and AB used to be very involved with movie nights--maybe one or both of them would be able to join as well.

I meant to write AB about this challenge, and forgot. Good plan.

I wrote them both. This would be the best way to watch that movie again. :)

Is there any way to add our movies to our board calendar? I don't see "add events", but maybe Moderators can?

I'm up for it.  I started out to do just that a while back, but got bogged down with work, and cancer, and things like that.  Two a week will definitely be a challenge.  O0
