After this week, we only have 6 films left in the challenge. Who's still hanging in there? It only feels like yesterday when we started but after 6 and a bit months, the end is almost here!!

And I was just falling behind... I think I'll catch up.

So who is going to get a prize? Is it just SK? Is anyone else looking to finish on time and watch EVERY movie in the Challenge?

Haha -- yes, I promised prizes to "everyone" who completed the Challenge. It looks like that's just you and me. I've treated myself to plenty recently (I even bought a new wide angle lens I've been wanting).  So that leaves...... just you. I may as well get you a good prize, since it's only one.  8)

I'm going to try and get the rest of the movies in since I've seen the vast majority of the movies for the challenge, and I'd like to complete it! When is the deadline, and is there any possibility of it being extended to the end of the month of September for those of us who are close to being done?

I definitely think we should extend the deadline, even if it's only for AKA! The end of September sounds good. (There's not a chance I'll make it.)

But in any case, after the end of the "official" challenge, all the threads will still be open and people are encouraged to complete their own personal challenge at their own pace.

The deadline was originally September 9th - for the release of Sully. But, since Sully will remain in the theaters, I see no reason we can't extend it through September, and even into October. Let's say for those who are serious about completing the Challenge, it stays open until October 15th.

Go AKA, Go!  ;D

It will be something from my magic chest. (The one with hinges, not hair).

Many moons ago, just outside the furthest reaches of the alligator-infested Everglades... a Moderator named mgk bestowed upon a Eastwood fan many boxes filled with Eastwood treasures. Trinkets of lore... some collectibles and some tacky things only a true collector would want (or a wildebeast). These things have been resting in the chest for a decade, waiting for the next Eastwood Web Board contest. Alas, the time has come to open the chest.

That wouldn't have made sense to make the deadline for the opening day of Sully. :o  I am planning on seeing it opening day, but not everyone may have that opportunity.

Hey, you guys are almost there! Congratulations to those who are going to complete the challenge. I should get to see Sully next week, I hope. I'm on vacation, but I should find a night free. If not, maybe by the end of September.

With the extended deadline I just might make it.  I know, I got bogged down a long time ago, but summer is coming to an end and the work schedule is getting more hectic than ever.  It will all magically come to an end on September 30, so I've got a chance if I start now.  I always get lots of movies watched when I've got a close work deadline and lots to do.  Thanks for being merciful and extending the deadline.

It just dawned on me that in order to go and see Sully, I'll have to drive nearly an hour to find a movie theatre.  They just don't exist around here, which is really funny when you consider that the tiny town of Topeka, Indiana, where I live had one of the very first moving picture houses in the whole area.  We still have horses and buggies, but the movie house has gone.  It was called the Topeka Theater.

I haven't been able to find all the films, so I won't be able to finish all of them. The selection of dvd's available with finnish subs is ridiculous at the moment. Maybe I'll just have to buy them with english subs only. The problem with that is, my husband won't watch with me then. He wants subtitles. I just now watched Trouble with the Curve which I bought a while ago, no finnish subs. I'll try and finish the challenge with these films that I have here.
I have seats to see Sully this Friday. :)

I'm done. :)

Only seems like yesterday that I put Fistful Of Dollars in the DVD player but that was way back in January. I was able to stay pretty much on schedule for the most part. I think there was only a week or two where I fell behind.

Thanks for the challenge Matt. It was great revisiting all these films again. 8)

I reached deep into the magic chest. I've pulled out a few things.

SK:  Give me a number between 1-70.

Choose A or B

And give me a preference:  Plastic or Paper.

Give me another number between 1 and 20.

This will determine your prize.  :)

LMAO -- okay, 69 might otherwise be a great number, but in this case... it really isn't.  Give me one more just as an alternate choice.  Number between 1-70.

PS you'll see why I'm laughing when you see what that "prize" wound up being.

You can also pick A or B again.

You'll only get one of these, but I'll let you choose since "69B" really was a terrible prize.
