If you find any cool pages on Wayback for our very own site, post them here. Most of our forum is still here, only the Off Topic Forum was purged back then. But it's fun to see some of the old avatars and to see so many of the old members "active" on the board again.

I was hoping to find my first post, back in 2001, but :( it's not on the Wayback machine. But, this is close... a couple of months later, and boy do I remember this thread (and Gunny).

It's too bad so many of the links don't work from the 2001 version, or at least they don't for me. I don't know if there's a trick. But like the gunny thread you'd mentioned, there was no way to go to page 2 of the thread.

I didn't join until probably July of 2001.

I'll keep poking around and see if I can find a post from when you joined. A lot of the links are broken, but now and then you'll find working ones. It's hit or miss.

I did find my official join date:  2/22/01

(and boy did my profile get a lot of interest back then. Hint to everyone to include such masculine hobbies on internet forum profiles. ;)  ;D)

Medical field...horseback riding, mountain climbing, fencing...

I'm surprised you didn't list your love of tragically romantic poetry, too.   :o

Or my black belt in Aikido!  ;D

I remember Daisy in particular PMing me to know if it was real. She said she was impressed! Sadly, I had to let her down.  ;D

AKA's join date was 6/20/2000

And here's one of his first "speculative" threads. :)

I know I registered in February 2002, and I think one of my first posts was asking about "Where Do I Go From Here" from Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.

I'm going to post the profiles of yours and Doug's (and any others I come across) if I find them.

For now, I found this cool post from Cal about the history of the site:

There's not a trick -- it really is random. But, I did find this that makes things a little easier.

Wayback Listing

This is the "old board" and all of the images that were grabbed by the Wayback machine. About 90% of the links there work. They're all single webpages, so a thread that is several pages long won't usually have any working links or additional pages.  There are 347 images from that board. (Of course, we have other boards too -- I'll get to those eventually.)

By some miracle, the entire 6 page thread for "Who Saw Space Cowboys from August to November, 2000 was preserved.

Amazing it's almost 20 years! I remember reading something about this board in an Entertainment Weekly issue (I think it was EW anyhow). I had a subscription in the early 2000s, but I don't still have those magazines.

Well guys, I did it! I bought Outlaw Josey Wales on DVD this afternoon. I havent ever even seen it but decided to buy it due to its unconditional positive regard on the board. So, you guys dont disappoint me, the store where I bought it from has a new return, no refund policy! SO I BETTER LIKE IT.

Yeah! Maybe Richard could post a 20 year banner in February, or something. That's crazy. It was one of the earliest internet sites!
