This will be organized by Country of Origin.  I will make a post for each country in this thread for this film Fistful of Dollars (1964).  I'll try to keep up with the Movie Challenge and hopefully we should have a full list.  I'll also host the images on my personal website to avoid glitches with Imgur.  I would like for the threads to stay clean so if you see anything I miss shoot me or Matt a PM.

Countries Added
01/30/2016 - United States Posters
01/31/2016 - Italian, Japanese, Argentinian & Australian/New Zealand Posters
02/01/2016 - Belgian, Dutch, Swedish, Czech, Yugo, French and German
02/02/2016 - United Kingdom, Colombian, Mexican, and Spanish
02/03/2016 - Hungarian (1), Finnish (1), Yugo (1), Sweedish (1)

This was a ton of work for just this title.  I might not be able to keep up with the challenge...  I imagine after these poular films the less popular films (fewer Re-Releases) will be easier.  Soooo bear with me as I plow through them...

Italian

First Release

Italian 2-Fogli | ~39"x55"
Via the Christopher Frayling featurette per Member KC - "Not only does Frayling point out that it was the original Italian poster image ... it was used in the very first newspaper advertisement for Fistful, when the film had its premiere in Florence in August 1964. He also mentions that it was taboo to have the gunfighter, presumably the hero, pointing his gun at the viewer. In his Sergio Leone biography (p. 160), he adds the further detail that the poster was designed by Sandro Simeoni."  This image shows up in both the 4-fogli and locandina but is reused in many re-release locandina printings.

Japanese

Japanese B2 | Advance | 20"x29"  (According to Matt via IMDB via the book "Once Upon a Time in the Italian West" by Howard Hughes, Sergio Leone spotted a tree, while on location, that he thought would be perfect for the hanging tree at the beginning of the film, so the tree was dug up and relocated.)

Charlie, thanks for doing this. It is no small amount of work, as I well know. I tried to do it, and I thought there was no way in hell I'd be able to do all the movies with as much time as it took to do just one. And then I had lousy images (in comparison to what you have posted) and inaccurate information. So I was more than happy that you stepped up to do this. It will be a great resource for the board.

A couple of questions:  Can we open this for discussion now, if anyone wants to ask questions or comment on the posters?  Are the images hosted in a safe place where they won't disappear someday?

Yes let's consider it open.  I can always add to the bottom of the last major post.  The images are hosted on my personal website that I use to have my collection on since 2011 or so... I primarily use it as a ftp site to post images to the web and unless my wife deletes the account, it should go on for as long as I am alive...
