Great idea, I'd like to participate if I can...

I'd go Rear Window/ Strangers on a Train...

Can Psycho sneak in there... Haven't seen it in ages...

Here's what I think we've got so far:

The Schofield Kid:  SabotageThe 39 Steps
Matt:  Rebecca, Spellbound
AKA: Rear Window
Gant:  Strangers on a Train, Psycho
KC:  North by Northwest
Christopher: The Lady Vanishes

Anyone else?

I'm not sure offhand if I've ever seen Sabotage. I don't have a rating for it on IMDb, but of course I could have seen it before I had my IMDb account.

I was thinking about mentioning Strangers on the Train, but Gant took care of that one.

I've mentioned my top 5 numerous times, so maybe I'll go outside that list.

The Lady Vanishes

Noted. I haven't seen that one in ages, and it will feel like a first viewing.

Okay, looks like it's the six of us, unless anyone along the way wants to join in. Anyone can always join in at anytime.

Here's THE SCHEDULE

Fun schedule. I'm surprised no one mentioned Shadow of a Doubt. I thought about it--it's one of my favorites.

I'd figured you might. I think I own all of those movies--now it's just to find them! :o

I also wanted Notorious on here, but figured sneaking in TWO extra would be pushing it.

I don't know if I'll participate, but I was already interested in watching The 39 Steps, The Lady Vanishes, and Rebecca. All three of those I've seen and really loved, but it's been a relatively long time since I watched them. The rest of the films I've seen just so many times, or have seen very recently, that I'm not interested in them at this time. But I'm glad some of you who haven't seen them are making it a point to do so.

I don't feel I'm in any position to recommend a movie without more of a commitment from me, but if I were to recommend one, it'd been Frenzy. I absolutely love it. It has all of Hitch's trademarks, but it's quite a gritty movie, even though it has plenty of black humor.

Jump in whenever you want to, Doug. The commitment needed to join in here is pretty lax. Join in anytime you want, and take off on any of the weeks that you don't want to. And since you've already seen a lot of these films and recently, please feel free to join in the weekly discussions even if you're not watching it that week with us.

As for Frenzy, that's one I haven't seen in about 20 years, so I might want to watch that one again. If we don't all fall apart halfway through like we did on our last Movie Club schedule, we can look at tacking it on at the end. We'll see how many of us continue to go through this over the next three months.

Doug, that video that you posted about "Vertigo" was very interesting, so you're clearly quite knowledgeable about Hitchcock. I'd love to learn more about your insights and the resources that you'd recommend. I'd definitely welcome you participating when you can. I don't think you have to see all the movies to join the discussion and offer your perspective.

This will be awesome for me, honestly other than "THE BIRDS" I haven't really watched an Hitchcock film with a scrupulous eye....looking forward to it. Count me in.  :)
