I was privileged to spend a day on set in Paris on Friday.

As always, Clint's sets are a truly wonderful place to be. The crew, although under great pressure because of a special location, were in brilliant form and as friendly as they were efficient.

Clint is still the master. Incredibly energetic and enthusiastic moving around like a 30 year old even with such a long day.

The 3 stars of the movie are just lovely people. Very humble about their actions and clearly thrilled to be making a movie with Clint Eastwood.

We managed to get a couple of pictures at the end of the day and I'll look at posting those later.

well guys. how do you feel about this project overall? I mean its a true story. it casts true real-life heroes (non-actors)of that train. Clint is just about to finish the filming after almost 2 months, the screenplay writer is a rookie and its her fisrt feature script. and no joel cox of course. I am both optimistic and pessimistic. how do you feel? is it gonna be a great film again? I hope so

We all hope so, Saman Moradkhani! Clint has always been a risk taker, but they often pay off.

My bet is it's going to be a great film. Despite those things rookies no Joel cox non actors I firmly believe it will be a good movie. I think it's cool that he's using the real life heroes in the film. How many movies do that. It's cool to do something different outside the box. Lately clints directed movies have been stellar movies. American sniper and sully were great. Like KC said he's a risk taker and his risk usually pay off. Out of all the 60 something movies he's acted in his career there's only about 6 of those movies I don't particularly care for. To me that's pretty darn good.

Thank you Rawhide7 for your great response. yes i do believe it's going to be a pretty good movie too. Clint looks so enthusiastic for this one and i guess there is sth special about it and its story. after a while Clint is back in Europe again for making a movie, there are a great team of huge talent around this movie and considering all the aspects and buzzes, this must be a great movie indeed. Do you think there is a chance for Clint and the movie in terms of Academy?

Actually I do feel this film will be nominated for an academy. Can't say it will actually win. But when Clints involved there's always a chance to win. I truly believe it will be very good suspense thriller and very heroic movie. Clint will make it entertaining and interesting just like American sniper and sully were great.

The ultra liberal Hollywood is in Trump era. And this is an Eastwood film, a heroic and patriotic one from the man who screws liberals always. Box office can be a very significant factor in its chances for Oscars. Overall, I do hope strongly to see Clint in Oscar night if not, it doesn't worth to watch

Final days of shooting in Paris  :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
Clint is in Arras station for shooting several scenes of his upcoming drama. He has rented Thalys train for 5 days, fully equipped train for day and night shooting.
Sounds amazing

Filming should be finished now. Assuming they are on schedule - and Clint is always, at the very least, on schedule.

Yeah, I agree... it's great that Clint regularly does something different outside the norm.  If this was your typical Hollywood movie, there would be at least a couple of big stars commanding the screen.

I'm also curious if Clint will use IMAX cameras to film most of the movie like he did with Sully.
