Here's our baby wall, almost ready. Just need some ground under their feet. And maybe I need to paint the the tree trunk again, the brown is still a bit transparent.

We're over halfway here!

Today's my due date. Nothing happening yet. It would be perfect to give birth tomorrow. It's the 100th Independence Day in Finland. Babies born tomorrow will receive a letter and a gift from the President. But of course the baby will come when ready. We're super excited here! :)

Forgot to come and tell the news! :D

Our baby girl was born on 13th December. Her heart rate went down a bit so they helped her out with a suction cup. We had minor difficulties in the beginning, she was quite yellow and had to be treated for that under the blue light. Her weight went down also and we had to stay in the hospital for five days. But everything is good now, her appetite is endless and she is getting roundness to her features. To us, she is the most beautiful thing in the world. So happy.

Her name is Ella, after my great grandmother. We have agreed not to put a picture of her face out on the public social media but I could PM a picture for you KC.  :) And if there are others who want to see her.

I think that's a wise decision. Yes, if you wouldn't mind PMing me a picture, I'd like to see her! 8)

By the way ... my grandmother's name was Ella. :)

My grandma's name was Ella too. For the longest time she was the only person I knew of with that name, but I've heard the name more in recent years. :)

Ella as a name is timeless, here it might be that it used to be more common at the time of my great grandmother and my grandmother but now the old names are coming back. For us it was just important to use the names from our families. It is actually common to give several first names and Ella has 3. First two are both from my great grandmother and the last one is from my husband's mother.

Thank you Gant.  :)
