It may be a little while until we see a 2018 release but this is the thread for discussion of the films released this year. Anyone have any upcoming films that they're really looking forward to?

I saw The Commuter last night. Liam Neeson plays a... well, a commuter who is propositioned to find someone on the train that doesn't belong, and he'll get a lot of money in return. It's a good thriller with some nice twists and turns.

A.E.K. an underdog Greek basketball team founded in 1924 from refugees from Constantinople, after 50 years beats SLAVIA of Prague and wins the European Cup.

A movie based on my favorite team, what better can a fan expect,but...A.E.K. (athletic union of Constantinople) is something more than a club.It exists if only to remind our parents motherland , the lives they had to leave behind when expatriated from the Turks and start all over in a new ground.
A.E.K. represents the memories and the culture of these people ...

Maybe Iím getting superhero movie burnout.  I wasnít planning on seeing this on the big screen.  I figured Iíd just skip it and catch it later on cable or disc.  I was making plans to see The 15:17 To Paris and before I knew it, was caught up in committing to seeing this on IMAX.

Iím glad I did.  I thought the story was very good and it  held my interest.  Once again, Marvel hits one out of the park with a very entertaining film.

Black Panther is one of my favorite Marvel movies.

I'm curious about the next Avengers movie, since it appears like they've thrown in just about everyone they could. It seems like there could be too many characters in it, but I'm interested in seeing if it works or not (it very well could work just fine).

Not bad and surly a superhero movie with political views is odd enough but, I'd never skip an Eastwood movie ...

Very good.  Worthy remake of the original.  By no means better.  But enjoyable, unlike Last Man Standing.

I'm curious about the new Death Wish. I'll check it out sometime here. I noticed it's based on the original movie, instead of being a new adaptation of the book (I've read the book before, and it's good). I guess I haven't watched it already because I'm a big Bronson fan, and the original is such an iconic movie for him.

Some recent noteworthy 2018 movies I've seen have been I Can Only Imagine and A Quiet Place. Two totally different types of movies, both excellent. O0

Deadpool 2

A lot of black humour, a lot of gore and a few inside jokes.
Highly recommended  O0
