I enjoyed Death Wish but do agree Bronson rules. Still, I'm hoping for sequels. I wonder why Statham didn't star as he did in the other Bronson remake, The Mechanic. Avengers Infinity War and Deadpool 2 were worth the price of admission.
I did enjoy Black Panther but my expectations were very low. I go to most of the super hero movies with various friends and family and was going to let this one pass me by. I'm glad I didn't. Still, not sure I'll go out of my way to see it again and won't buy it on blu ray as I have with the Nolan Batman series (loved the character of Bane in The Dark Knight Rises too much not to so decided to get the trilogy) and Man Of Steel, Wonder Woman and Justice League. I don't want to start collecting them because there's to many but may get a some of the Marvel comic book movies because they're damn good; X-Men Days Of Future Past, The Avengers (1st one only), Captain America Civil War and the first Guardians Of The Galaxy film. I plan on taking Nicholas and Nina to Solo this weekend. I hope we enjoy it. Should be interesting, anyway. We may see The Incredibles 2 sometime soon, also and looking forward to that.

I enjoyed Solo and Rogue One about the most of any of the new ones, and yet they could easily be considered just money grabs.
It’s easy to blame Disney/Lucas and Paramount when sub-par quality is delivered with respect to Star Wars and Star Trek. To quote Elvis Presley, “You gotta take the bad with the good.” As fans, we expect the best but have to realize that that is unrealistic. Nobody, I mean nobody produces and delivers 100% greatness all of the time. Impossible. Did Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood deliver 100% greatness with the so-called “Spaghetti Western” trilogy? You bet your sweet ass they did! So, the bar was raised and with that comes happiness when similar product is presented, but negativity when poor similar quality is produced. What matters is appreciating the best of the best and even enjoying the best qualities of the worst where possible. In my opinion, The Beatles are probably the only thing in entertainment that ever came (or ever will come) the closest to 100% greatness. They had their faults and shortcomings but are acknowledged as one of, if not THE greatest rock band in history. Not bad for a band only together ten years. It took The Rolling Stones decades more to achieve even a hint of that kind of recognition! What matters most, is personal preference. In the end, regardless of accomplishments and accolades, it all comes down to what you like above and beyond anything else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
