Clint hasn't got a best actor academy award till now...

Clint Eastwood was nominated for Best actor academy award twice.
The first time, it was in 1993 for Unforgiven (1992) and the last time was in 2005 for Million Dollar Baby (2004).
Al Pacino won it for Scent of a Woman in 1993 and Jamie Foxx won it for Ray in 2005.
It seems that the Academy is not really fond of Clint Eastwood’s acting style and likes performances which require physical transformations. These last years, the Academy gave Best Actor oscar to actors who portray real people.
It would be great if Clint Eastwood finally won an oscar for Best Actor in leading role but we never know what is going to happen. Moreover, Clint doesn’t make pictures for oscars. I hope that The Mule will give Clint a great role and I hope that it will be a great movie.

In my opinion, the best Clint Eastwood movies as a director are:
Unforgiven, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River, Bird, A Perfect World,
The Bridges of Madison County, Letters from Iwo Jima, Honkytonk Man, High Plains Drifter, Pale Rider, Bronco Billy,
Play Misty for Me, Gran Torino, White Hunter Black Heart, Changeling, American Sniper, Sully

These films represent the best of Clint Eastwood career as a director.

Yeah KC your right. It's sad clints never won a best actor award. Throughout his career I feel like he should have at least won one time. At the very least. Really all that matters is Clint keeps making and acting in great movies. To me no one alive today has accomplished what Clint has throughout his career. Factoring in both acting and directing. He's truly a living legend. No award can ever replace the quality movies he's acted in and directed. It's sad that there's people out there that think he's not a great actor. But that's okay cause really all that matters is if iI like him. Just like really all that matters is if we the fans like him.  He's my favorite actor hands down.

Seems pretty obvious that Cooper's character is undercover as a plumber in order to do surveillance on Clint's character....

That is exciting indeed. I was reading the original article from New York time magazine which the movie is based upon, and I noticed that the real DEA agent was actually undercover on many occassions. So considering this, I expect a very tense and great story of cat and mouse chasing.

Yes, he did. It seems that Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper liked working together.
Their partnership was so successful on American Sniper, critically and financially.
I was so happy when I learned that they would work together again.
This time, we’ll see them together on screen. That’s great.
I really hope that The Mule will be as good as Gran Torino at least.

^ Great pictures, thanks. And there's this:

Quote
Throughout it all, Earl is haunted by his past mistakes ...

Yup, sounds like a Clint Eastwood character, all right.

Yeah. Past is coming to hunt him again. I have a strong belief in Nick Schenk's works and think he delivers us a great story again.

I'm already getting really anxious to see this new Eastwood film... I know I will be seeing it on opening day just as I have for all his starring-in films in the past 45 years.
