Not everyone's cup of tea but I did enjoy it... It was a lot funnier than I was expecting at least until the
gear shift midway through... It kinda goes from comedy to thriller and (spoiler alert) tragedy ..

Yes, and I knew that. The reviews I read had that much "spoiler" information, anyway. But the "gear shift" just didn't work for me. The opening farce-like part was too featherweight for the thriller/tragedy parts to work as a continuation.

I liked "Parasite," but I think it's a little bit overrated for the reasons that KC stated. The tonal shift in the movie was too abrupt. The concluding massacre felt like it belonged in a completely different movie.

Bah, Parasite won Best Picture. I'd give it Most Overrated. Most overrated Oscar winner since, oh, let's see ... maybe Forrest Gump.

Ordinary  People :)

Parasite may be a touch overrated but I think it's still the pick of this bunch.. tho I did really enjoy Joker
and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Jo Jo Rabbit last year...

I see all of 1917's awards came in the tech categories which seems about right...

I still plan on renting Parasite sometime here. I guess I've been too busy watching 1970s TV movies. :D ;D

Fascinating that Parasite is the first foreign movie to win best picture. That really opens the whole thing up going forward, which is cool. Honestly I still have no desire to sit through two hours and forty minutes of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Joker still only barely interests me.

Oh, and I'd also like to check out the best documentary feature American Factory on Netflix. It was made by two people who used to be associated with the college I went to, and the movie itself deals with a factory in Ohio.

Finally got around to checking this movie out today.  Interesting and entertaining enough to hold my interest for the duration, but nowhere near as good as the first two Godfather films and Goodfellas.  I very much enjoyed seeing DeNiro, Pacino and Pesci working together.

Tarantino is a great director.  I watched the first hour of this last night and the rest when I got home from work today.  I was looking forward to seeing the rest of the film, curious how the interwoven stories of fact and fiction would play out. 

For me, the sign of a good-to-great movie is one you want to return to repeatedly.  I don’t see myself revisiting this one.  All said and done, I didn’t come away entertained.

Taking place 40 years after The Shining....

Although I’ve always enjoyed The Shining I’ve never found it particularly scary.. This sequel to the Kubrick film
is great fun, well acted and with plenty of scares.. I enjoyed it...
