1: The Good,The Bad and The Ugly ( Maybe the greatest Western ever despite the fact Eli Wallach steals the movie)
2: Where Eagles Dare ( Easily one of the greatest WW2 adventure films ever made. A classic )
3: Fistful Of Dollars
4: For A Few Dollars More
5: The Witches ( Eastwood gets kudos from me doing a completely different role..I would had done it too just to be near 1 inch of Silvana Mangano )
6: Hang Em' High
7: Coogan's Bluff ( Movie has not aged well )
8: Paint Your Wagon ( A fiasco of a movie and a legendary bomb...... though Eastwood's Mom would disagree)

Just an FYI, Two Mules For Sister Sara was released in 1970.

As for the 60’s, my favorites are the Leone Trilogy followed by Hang ‘Em High.  The top film for me is The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.

Ever since seeing Eastwood as The Man With No Name, I became a fan of the three westerns he did with Sergio Leone.  To me, there are no better westerns.  It took some time to warm up to Hang ‘Em High, but it’s among my favorites of the decade.

It's a fun idea to see how we'd rank each decade of movies.

Here's how I'd rank them right now:

1. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
2. For a Few Dollars More
3. A Fistful of Dollars
4. Coogan's Bluff
5. Hang 'em High
6. Where Eagles Dare
7. Paint Your Wagon

The last three are tougher for me to rank. I could possibly put Eagles above Hang 'em High. And do I really like Paint Your Wagon the least out of those? That's a fun movie, but I don't think I'm comfortable listing it above any of the others right now.

I like all of these movies, and I think I like Coogan's Bluff more than other people around this board. That's always been a really cool movie to me.

I rank them the same as Christopher except I swapped 2 and 3.

Makes me want to watch The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly again. I think I'd stick with the original theatrical cut of the movie. I kept my DVD of that cut (and even still have the full frame 2-tape VHS).

I have to amend my original post.  The only change is that I’m adding Coogan’s Bluff.  Not sure why I excluded it in the first place.

A Fistful Of Dollars
For A Few Dollars More
The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
Hang ‘Em High
Coogan’s Bluff

A pretty easy decade to rank his movies:

1. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
2. For a Few Dollars More
3. A Fistful of Dollars
4. Hang 'Em High
5. Where Eagles Dare
6. Coogan's Bluff
7. Paint Your Wagon
8. The Witches

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is my overall favorite movie of the 60s.
