Rookie fans

I was wondering if there are any other fans of The Rookie out there.  If there are, please reply to this so we can discuss what we liked about it.

I thought it was an OK movie, definitely not one of Clint's best.  With that said, there were some funny parts to the movie and one of Charlie Sheen's best acting moments.  It just seemed a little to early for Clint to be playing a character that was poking fun at himself.  At that point he was 60 but then again so is Harrison Ford.  In my opinion he was selling himself short in that role.

I dont think the rookie is in anyones top 5 clint movies,but I didnt think it was too bad. I didnt like Charlie Sheen's performance though, and its one of the things that lowered the movie in my list. That and, well, lets face it, its just no that good
 But, its the 2nd clint movie I owned,and I did watch it a few times....then I got the enforcer (what a thrill that was ) but it it has some good moments.
 Why dont you start by telling us what you liked about it, maybe we can start from there

What I liked about The Rookie was the action scene's were really good, especially the opening car chase.    There were also some funny parts in it and I thought Charlie Sheen, who I usually dont like, was pretty good in this one.   Clint was a little old to do shoot-em-ups but I thought he was alright in this one.  I know the film was cliched and predictable but this film is good for a night of no-brainer entertainment, kinda like The Enforcer.

Dont feel left out, I love the Rookie.  I think eastwood had a great performance in this movie.  When I first saw the movie I was shocked and amazed I had to have.  I bought it on VCD which wasnt the brighest idea, cause it looks like a bootleg there are scenes where Clints head is cut off but nothing really too horrible on it.  Im just waiting for it to come out on DVD and then Im gonna enjoy it truly.

I always thought of "The Rookie" as a guilty pleasure. It's not one of Clint's best but I do enjoy some parts of it. I do revisit it from time to time. I could have been a lot better than it is.

Have you seen those videos -- what were they called again? Someone posted them here a couple of months ago -- some kind of making of / behind-the-scenes look at the film, with interviews, only more like a joke. It was pretty funny.

I actually haven't seen these videos you're talking about. Maybe someone can post them here again?

I have said before that The Rookie is not one of my favorites but it is a guilty pleasure of mine as well. It is a fun film. I thought that Eastwood and Sheen were great together.
