Here are two posters for Magnum Force:

What is your opinion of the posters? If you have seen another poster for this film that you like better, if possible post an image here, and tell us why you prefer it.

I'll comment on this one first, since I haven't re-watched the film yet.

This poster just seems bare to me. Yeah we know Harry has a big gun, so what's the movie about here?

The poster doesn't really tell me much, so I feel, it doesn't do a good job of getting my butt in the seat.

That last one is sweet.  ;D It doesn't even look like Clint. And when did the motorcycle jump the red car? I haven't watched the movie in quite awhile, I guess my memory of it is fading.

I think they added a few scenes to the poster that weren't in the movie. Apparently, Charles Bronson and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, co-starred in those scenes.  :-\

Wow, that Turkish one is certainly inventive! :o

It's one of the better ones just for it's originality.

I like the French poster the best.  Love the red background and the way they did the lettering. It's nicer than the one in the opening post because I don't really like the bar on the bottom with the pictures that one has. This is a clean look, and at the same time... "very stylish."  ;D

Matt, I was in Northampton, Mass. for a brief shopping excursion on Wednesday. Just as we were leaving, I noticed a store with a Magnum Force poster in the window ... I think it was that U.S. insert you just posted. A sign in the window said that the store was having an auction of Eastwood posters in the first week in January to benefit some good cause ... might have been the fire department. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the store's name and I spent a couple of hours last night searching around the Web in a futile attempt to find it out. But, if anyone is going to be in the vicinity of Northampton in the next few days, maybe you'd want to take a look. The store was in one of the side streets just off the north side of Main Street, west of Pleasant Street; I think it may have been Masonic Street.

 :o
So many posters :P
hey-glad to see the film discussion has been updated- Ill start with this question since its been a while since ive seen MF :D

Umm..shall I go for a top 3?
I love that first japanese one Matt posted, with the 3 cops in the background, i think it gives it a nice look.
And Also that French one that Matt mentioned I also think its cool, and I love the black & White & red look 8)
I think my favorite though is that warner 50th b-day poster that Philo mentioned, I dont know it just has a really nice look.
The one that I like the least, would be that australian Daybill, mainly because of its tagline: "Dirty Harry's back..and still doing his thing in his own roughneck way"
I dont know, I just dont really like the sound of that :-\

So pretty much all of those are great posters actually, and ill be looking forward to this film discussion (and yeah- I will participate more than the last time :P)
