Are you "Scatman" Crothers from Bronco Billy?  And, you got your nickname from the "scat singing" you did in your early career?

Geez......I hope so because I worked really hard on that one.  :P

Yup, that's me! In addition to being a scat singer, I was also a song writer, composer, comedian and guitarist.

I thought that was an easy one. Maybe no one noticed it until now?  ???

You're up MG!  ;D

You should always go with your first intinct.  I looked at Bronco Billy first because that's one of Matt's favorite Eastwood movies.  I even saw "Scatman" and thought....."wonder what that means?"  But I didn't bother to look any further.  Didn't know there was such a thing as "scat singing."  Learn something new every day.   :D

But, I don't want to make anyone have to work that hard so I'm going to give you an easy one. ;)

1)  I've been in only one Eastwood movie
2)  My name is redundant

I'm an animal rights activist who has spent time in jail for carrying an animal training weapon to a protest.

I was the voice of one of Charles Schulz's Peanuts characters.

Now, vik, which "Peanuts" character would he have "spoken for" ... Snoopy, maybe? ;)

Nope. You're Pamelyn Ferdin ... "Amy" in The Beguiled. Two years before that was released (so you were just ten years old), you were the voice of Lucy Van Pelt in A Boy Named Charlie Brown  (1969) and the TV film, It Was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown (also 1969). You were also "Lucy" in the TV film Play It Again, Charlie Brown in 1971.

According to the IMDb, this is what happened to you in 2000 ...
Quote
On January 11, 2000, Pamelyn, a vigorous animal activist, faced up to six months in jail after being found guilty of carrying an elephant "bullhook" at an August 1999 protest of circus training methods. A bullhook is a wooden rod with a sharp hook that is jabbed into sensitive areas of the elephant to keep it fearful and manageable. She received 30 days.

2) Another close relative of mine is the first cousin of a famous American playwright

You're Laura Dern! You were in A Perfect World and your father, Bruce, was in Hang 'em High.

You're a second cousin to Tennessee Williams.

Cool.  8)

Next....

I've had a very successful career as a leading man, but had no interest in the performing arts until I was asked to stand in for a stage actor while on a plumbing call to fix a theater toilet. :D

I'm almost as tall as Clint. 8)

Are you Lee Marvin who:

Quote
While repairing a toilet at the local community theatre, he was asked to replace an ailing actor in a rehearsal. He was immediately stricken with a love for the theatre and went to New York City, where he studied and played small roles in stock and Off-Broadway
?????

And, you later played Ben Rumson in Paint Your Wagon?
