I think Gant followed the rules correctly; I'm the one who's mixing things up. Matt made the game up, and he's not around to clarify things (he's having computer trouble), but I'll do my best.

The answer to "Who am I" can be either an actor or a character. I was carelessly thinking, in Gant's last question, that his clues could apply to either one ... and yet he's got "character" right there, to make it absolutely clear. My excuse is that I didn't sleep much the night before and was semi-conscious at the time. So, I figured out the answer from the third clue, where he specified "actor" (that got me to Twin Peaks and the wife with the eyepatch), then tried to make the football hero part work for the actor also, because I'd clean forgotten this part of Maj. Power's "biography" in Heartbreak Ridge). So, I got the right answer for the wrong reasons.  :-[

When I went to post a new one, I thought of an ACTOR who was in two different Eastwood films, but didn't make it clear in my original post that that was what I was looking for.  They're not very good clues, I admit, but I think they should work now. And yes, it's the I of the clues we are looking for ... an actor who played a mother, and a wife, in two different films ... but not the mother, or the wife, of Eastwood's character.

And since everyone should be thoroughly mixed up by now ... how about if I add another "free clue" ...

(actor) My character and Clint's character spent a night together in one of the two films I was in.  :D ;)

Who ... am ... I???

Me!!!  :D

Whoops, no ... #1 doesn't apply ...  ???

mgk ... I think I know who this is, but just so I don't mess things up again ... Clue #1 applies to the character, and Clue #2 and the bonus to the actor, right?  :)

I was enjoying a book when it suddenly dawned on me that I had given one clue for the actor and one for a character "I" played.  So, I rushed in here to fix it and, not surprisingly.....you had already caught me, KC.  :-[

Okay....correction.  Sorry about that.

1) I once played the role of a notorious Watergate figure.
2) A character I played likes candy bars.

Oh.......and, yes!!  The bonus clue applies to the actor.

Are you James Woods ... the junk food junkie Alan Mann in True Crime, and H.R. Haldeman in Oliver Stone's Nixon? And how did you get to be so smart?  :o ;)

BTW, I don't see why we can't "mix" clues, as long as we make it clear which is which ... Yours could have read

1) (actor) I once played the role of a notorious Watergate figure.
2) (character) I like candy bars.

... and the answer is "James Woods as Alan Mann in True Crime." Would that work?  ???

Yes, I am James Woods.  :D

Maybe one of the rules should be that we have to put either "actor" or "character" in parentheses before each clue like you suggested, KC.  That way we might remember to distinguish between the two.  Knowing me.....I won't remember unless I'm required to do that.

Sounds good to me, mgk!

How's about this one ...

1) (actor) My namesake is a baseball star.

2) (character) My namesake is a slab of meat.

By the way, Gant ...

Hi KC,

I think this is a pretty hard one (which is good).

Is it your first or last name?

Thanks!
Mandy:)

Welcome to the Eastwood Web Board, amanda_lee.  :)

I think KC is looking for the character of Dale Porterhouse (slab of meat....steak)  in True Crime.  That character was played by Michael Jeter...who shares the name "Jeter" with the shortstop for the New York Yankees, Derek Jeter.

Okay.......try this one:

1)  (character)  I write screenplays.
2)  (actor)  I am one of thirteen  :o children.
