No sorry vik,I didn't mean to offend.I was experimenting with posting pics through imageshack, and I thought the picture of a little kitten walking past a group of huge dogs was cute.

I have that picture as a poster put out by an insurance company in the UK.  There is a different caption on the bottom it.  I can't remember exactly what it says, something about you are confident with so and so's insurance!    It is a great shot.  Thanks for reminding me about it tgy. O0

Great photo, thanks  O0  I have a bunch of old Everlast t-shirts that I use for working out and just bumming around my apartment.

I'll be at the gym in my old school simple Everlast shirt and a pair of beater shorts...working out right next to some knucklehead weekend warrior athlete that is decked out in 200 dollar Calvin Klein workout garb.  He is usually the same guy that walks around with ILS (imaginary lat syndrome), does 1000 curls in the squat rack with hideous form, and doesn't rerack his weights.

Anyway...its cool to see Clint wearing that shirt  8)

I've noticed lately that on some pics that have been posted you can put your mouse cursor on them which changes from an arrow to a hand and you click on that and you get another window open with a better pic.How do you go about doing that?

Like this:

I've inserted a space after the two opening square brackets ("[") so you can see what the code looks like. And there is no line break.
[ url=http://www.clinteastwood.net/pix/gallery/large2000/photo1.jpg][ img]http://www.clinteastwood.net/pix/gallery/small2000/photo1.jpg[/img]

If you remove those two spaces, you get this:

Click on the small picture, and you'll get this one in a new window:

Just be careful what you link to. We've had to ask people to remove links in a couple of cases because the linked-to pictures were a little ... risqué. And this is a family friendly board.  ;)

No. I just thought if there's some kind of limit to keep the board running. Some forums have a limit so that the pictures don't slow the functioning of the forum.

There may be a limit (and I have run into it on another board) but I don't know what it is ... Some of the posts in the photo thread have quite a few images, though they're small.

Fewer and fewer people have slow internet connections, so there's probably not too much worry about posting a lot of images even if they're pretty large. Images that are really screen-filling should probably be represented by thumbnails, though, just to keep the page readable.

KC posted this in the Cats & Dogs thread and I'd never tried it myself, so following KC's step by step instructions.

Quote
1) When you hit the "Reply" button in a thread, you get a window where you type your answer. Look down below and to the left of that window and you should see "Additional Options ..." with a "+" to the left of it.

2) Click on the +, and you'll get a list of options. One is "Attach:" and there's a box with a "Browse ..." button to the right of it.

3) Click the "Browse ..." button. You should get a window with "File upload" in the title bar above a list of files on your computer's hard drive. Navigate to the pic, and click on it. It should be a .jpg file and not bigger than 75 KB. Then click "Open" at the bottom of the "File upload" window.

4) In the box after "Attach:" there should now be the "path" to the pic on your computer's hard drive. Now, click "Post."
