I've seen Mystic River again and I'm more comfortable with my vote for Bird.   :)

I've seen 3 of the 4 films and although I haven't voted in the poll, I'd say that Mystic River would be my choice as well. I didn't think it was quite as fabulous as all of the critics seemed to make it out to be, but I did think that it was the best film of the year. Chalk that up to another person who has seen Bird that votes for Mystic River.

Guilty as charged.  I finally saw Bird about a year and a half ago and thought it was just ok.  I recently picked up Mystic River on dvd.  Since Bird has gotten such positive mention here, I think I'll watch both.  I doubt I'll like Bird more than Mystic River, but it's a good excuse to re-evaluate.

This is the order in which I like Clint's directed-only films: #1.Mystic River #2.Midnight In The Garden.... #3.Breezy #4.Bird
