Since the weekend, I've watched most of the Trollope adaptation Doctor Thorne ... or rather Julian Fellowes Presents Doctor Thorne, as it's called in the U.S. (Because Downton Abbey fans might not have heard of Trollope, I suppose.) It's quite delicious.

Has anyone else seen it? (It's streaming for free on Amazon Prime, or for about $10 if you're not a Prime member.)

Quote
Law Of The Plainsman
starring Michael Ansara

Interesting American tv western from around 1960 starrig Ansara as Sam Buckheart,  a native American US Marshal..

He's a very good actor and cool seeing a native American character in the lead part..

Anyone here old enough to remember this one ?

Fleabag

Im a bit late to the party for this one..
6 part comedy series set in London. A tall, painfully middle class woman struggling with a difficult family and a job that cannot possibly fund her lifestyle..

No one in this show is happy or even likable.. All are defeated and broken attempting to deflect whatever life
to throw at them..sounds very depressing..its actually absolutely hilarious.. enjoying every second..fresh writing and great acting..

Anyone watched the Lethal Weapon television series? ???

ITV in the UK have bought the rights to screen the series from next month.

I'm a fan of the Lethal Weapon movies, so I'm really curious to know your thoughts on the series if you have seen it. :)

Is it any good?

I am a huge Mad Men fan and have now found another great series that is very much like MM, Halt and Catch Fire.

Any fans here?

No one watching Westworld ?

I started watching "Westworld." I've seen two episodes. I like the premise of the show. It's very original, and Ed Harris has a prominent role and is doing a great job playing an interesting character. Anthony Hopkins is also in it, who I also like, but appears to have a pretty small role, which I find disappointing. It's also kind of difficult to figure out what the show is actually about. Does that get clearer later on in the series, Gant? It is also overly violent, and highly sexualized, neither of which I like. I plan to keep watching and see how this show develops as it is very original and unique. My impressions of this show are still developing. What are your impressions, Gant? It sounds like you're much further along than I am.

Stick with it AKA, I'd be interested to know what you think..

It's a very interesting show, Not perfect and I did find it a little difficult to follow at times (that's probably just me) Once I'd gotten my head around a certain concept it became a little clearer.. but I don't want to give anything away that might spoilt it for you, tho Hopkin's role is quite large..

There's quite a few surprises in store and some interesting themes explored..

I watched the first season and I'm looking forward to more...
Be cool to discuss it once you've watched it all..

Liked Westworld a lot, very unique show that gave a fair few surprises as it went along. I was expecting it to be a 1 season show but they have plans for a few more seasons which is great.

This Season almost lost me. The last three episodes of the season drew me back in and I am hooked again.
