Watching season 1 of Taboo, the Tom Hardy show. Set in England in the early 1800's, it is quite atmospheric and sinister. Love it.

I was blown away by Punisher. I don't remember I binge watched a season in almost one sitting like that. I've had a blast that day. Anyone else likes Punisher?

Feud:  Bette and Joan

Starring Jessica Lange as Joan Crawford and Susan Sarandon as Bette Davis

Tells the story of these two legendary actress's coming together after years of bickering and intense dislike of eachother (and with their careers on the slide) to make a B horror movie together..

in the early 60's..

Firstly... both actresses are superb in the roles, as is the whole cast. The era is re created to perfection.. I wasnt really on board to start with tho, the first couple of episodes seemed a little pedestrian.. But Im glad I've stuck with it. Theres a lot more to theyre story than I'd realised...

Very good..

There is no doubt in my mind that we are experiencing a truly golden age in American tv right now..

This is still great... original and fresh and very dark.. just how I like it  ;)

Exceptional show, although I have to admit that season 2 was a bit of a letdown!

I'm currently enjoying Atypical and Glow, both on Netflix. The second one is a bit of a lighter show, just to relax and enjoy.

I've never seen this, but I kind of object to it, since I think that the premise of the show is unrealistic and watching it is needlessly terrifying women all over the country.

I actually talked to some girls at work about this show, and when I asked whether they thought that this could happen in the United States in modern society, that women would become breeders for their male overlords and would be stripped of virtually all their rights, they actually said that they thought it was very possible!

That's the problem that I have with this show. For those that are fans, does anyone else see where I'm coming from on that?

I haven't seen the show but I read the novel years ago in college. I enjoyed the book quite a bit (which was published in 1985).

Oh, and I just remembered that I've seen the 1990 movie version, which I also liked.

I wouldn't call this a "Favorite" current TV show, but the first episode was actually funny, and kinda sad to see what The Karate Kid has been doing for the past twenty or so years. It gets worse after the first episode, but it's a quick season with just 10 half hour episodes.  Both Ralph Macchio and the guy who "swept his leg" back in 1984 (William Zabka) revive their old characters, and they're still competing.

I love The Karate Kid, but that whole set up does sound pretty sad. :D ;D
