I'm surprised, too, that there haven't been more votes for Magnum Force or The Enforcer.  ???

I didn't vote in the poll, but one reason to vote for Sudden Impact would be because it's the only one Clint directed. And, it is very stylish, visually. You can't say that about the others, except for the original Siegel film.

Yes, it is very stylish...  visually, and I imagine it was quite impressive on a cinema screen.

I've commented elsewhere that Sudden Impact hasn't aged well over the years, but...

When it was first released I was extremely happy with it; I became a real fan prior to the 2 previous releases and was very disappointed with them; Firefox and Honkytonk Man.  Sudden Impact was like justification!  Redemption!  YES!  I went to see it more than once, 3 times at least.  Yes, happy memories indeed; the movie was a blockbuster and 'Make My Day' was on everybody's lips.  :D

I'm envious of you & Philo, WKC; I haven't had the pleasure of seeing Dirty Harry on the big screen.  I have seen Philo...the other Philo...on the big screen.  Every Which Way But Loose was the first Clint Eastwood movie I saw in a movie house.  Since then, I've seen most of his movies and the re-release of The Good, The Bad And The Ugly.

Wow, that was a while ago...yeah, it was busy.  I think I went to see it again and it was busier that time.  It was also busy for Any Which Way You Can, too.

I projected Every Which way but loose in about 1982 on a double bill with Blazing saddles.

I examined the transmission print of Any which way you can for the BBC in 1995.

Cool beans.  Are you a projectionist, Philo?  Full or part-time?

That is how I started my career, I am now a film examiner. My work consists of helping produce master material usually for DVD.

That is when there is film work for me to do.

That's good man....FOR YOU!

No, seriously, I'm glad for you.  It is rare that one gets paid for doing what they like.

Uh-oh, getting off topic here...don't wanna get busted...

Yeah, Dirty Harry's the best one...speaking of getting busted, a funny scene from DH:

"My friends call me Alice."
"Well, Alice, when's the last time you were busted?"
"If you're vice, I'll kill myself."
"Then do it at home."

Well, I think it`s high time that I ended this poll; Dirty Harry easily wins the poll. Only 2 people voted for  a sequel and that was Sudden Impact. When I first started the poll, I was thinking strongly about Magnum Force. For  me, it  has more action than Dirty Harry, more gunplay and the premise of it was rather clever; Harry forced to deal with a death squad within his own workforce. But `Dirty Harry won it for me due to it`s villian.
Anyways, thanks to all who voted in this poll and thanks for extending the welcome mat to a newbie such as myself..
