If I recall correctly, he was also on the list for Superman (1978) along with Redford and Stallone but the Salkinds eventually went with the (then) unknown Chris Reeve.

A red haired Superman or a 5 foot Superman? Eesh!! :o

Apparently KC never saw The Gauntlet  ;)
Shockley isn't an idiot ... he's just downtrodden by life, like a lot of us. Forrest Gump was represented as a severely mentally challenged person ... or as they say these days, "learning disabled."  :P

Wasn't that Shockley's tagline: "Drunk & downtrodden is as drunk & downtrodden does"?  ;D

Stallone is 5 foot tall?  How tall is Talia Shire, 3 foot 8?

I was making a joke there Smithy. I was being sarcastic, yet again. Maybe I should stop being sarcastic, because obviously no one can ever tell. ;)

It's all good, Nighty.  I was halfway joking myself.  I remember in the Rocky movies that she was a bit shorter than he was and I half jokingly suggested that they put him on a footstool or something to make him look taller. ;D  I will stop this thread hijack now.
