No doubt, it's a cool poster. Reminds me of the Unforgivern poster. Wonder if they used the same designer/artist.

I'm not a fan of the "floating heads" effect they went for as it looks a little too photoshopped. But hey it's a Clint film, so I love it!!

Nice! I like it too.

If anyone finds any non-US posters, please post them here so I can add them to my Clint Eastwood Film Posters site.  I'll create a new page for Million Dollar Baby later tonight. :)

You know Brendan, that poster almost looks like a fan art poster to me...  But I suppose you got it from an official site?

It will certainly appeal to women, with the strong feminine 'primary' image of Hilary Swank.

Clint looks a bit 'young' in it doesn't he....?

They premiered it and now several other film sites have run with it. If it was a fake Warners would have said so by now or they will by the weekend.

The poster looks pretty good. I think it does look a little bit too photoshopped. It looks a little too artificial, and a bit too dark as well. I think it does employ the same theme that we've seen in several Eastwood posters, including Unforgiven, Absolute Power, True Crime, Space Cowboys , etc. I find it interesting that Hilary Swank is the features the most prominently in the poster rather than Clint.

Swank doesn't even look like herself. She looks completely differant.

Super cool poster... but I always expect neat posters for any Eastwood film.  This one sorta reminds me of the Tightrope poster for some reason.

Yeah, I noticed also how Clint let Swank have the center and bigger picture.  How many major stars with their egos would allow themsleves to be in the background.

KC still can't get on the board due to computer problems, but she e-mailed me and asked if I would to post this on her behalf:

Quote
There was a full-page ad for Million Dollar Baby in today's New York Times (Sunday, November 7), in the "Holiday Movies" special section. It featured the artwork seen in the poster image as displayed in this thread. The text is slightly different. At the bottom, it says "DECEMBER 17" then, at the very bottom, "WARNER BROS. WINTER 2004."

Also, there was a brief blurb in the second part of the section, in the article "The Class of 2004-05," by Dave Kehr. It reads in its entirety:

Dec. 15 [not Dec. 17? So which is right?]

"Million Dollar Baby"

Warner Brothers moved Clint Eastwood's new film from February to December after Oscar buzz began for the performances of Hilary Swank (a determined young female boxer) and Mr. Eastwood himself (a retired prizefighter turned cranky coach). Mr. Eastwood directs from a script by Paul Haggis; also starring Morgan Freeman.

I would have to agree, Swank looks more like Jennifer garner than herself.  I'm still very excited to see the new film.  Sometimes I wish that Clint used a little more lighting in his movies, as with this poster. ;)

I agree with you jjgonski,  in wishing that Clint used more light in some of his movies.  The poster is great and even though the subject is not my favourite sport I am looking forward to seeing it.   :D

If the movie is half as great as the poster, we're in for a treat.

She even looks hotter than Jennifer Garner does on the poster for her upcomming Elektra movie.
