Carrying this thread over from the old board:

Here's Philo's hint:

As some of you may remember I can be a little mean on my clues (at least to start with)

In this film this line is said to his partner .

At least this puts you in the right kind of scene to maybe jog your memory .

It is NOT from any of the Dirty Harry films or In the Line of Fire, it is not the scene at the party in The Rookie, though Philo said Daisy was on the right lines in thinking with that one... and it is not in Two Mules when they stop for Sara to say a prayer.

Hey Philo - when you said I was on the right lines did you mean it was The Rookie but not the party scene or that it was from a cop movie in general?

It is from The Rookie , but not the party scene .

Sorry Philo even with the film I still have no idea. I remember hearing it, but I don't remember when or in what context and I don't even have the Rookie to watch and reference. Sorry pal.

OK, I know this one now... ::)
It appears just after Clints "Directed by" credit...
Clint and his partner are about to make their bust, sitting in their car:

CLINTS PARTNER: ahh, after all these months working on this deal.....

CLINT: Well another few minutes isn't gonna kill ya

The irony of course is that he does get killed a couple of minutes later during the bust...

I'll work on a new one...

I'm probably a zillion miles out on this but I keep thinking it's said by Sondra Locke ... and I'd take a guess it's from the Gauntlet....

Of course........ I guess my estimate of being a zillion miles out was a little on the conservative side.. :-[

I ran along this quote while watching City Heat.  Speer says it to Murphy when he's hanging out at his apartment.  We never do see the bedroom.

Here's the next Eastwood quote:

Quote
If you got somethin' in your craw, spit it out.

Heck, Matt, that's from Bronco Billy!

I just checked the scene where I thought it was, and Billy actually says, "If something's stickin' in your craw, why don't you just spit it on out?"

So ... is that the one?

 :o  That's not it!

Wow, who'd've guessed that quote (slightly different) was in more than one Eastwood film.

The one I quoted is the way it was said in the film, word for word.  Is a hint needed, or should I leave it open a little longer?
