Nightwing, you'll need a graphics program, I've been using Animation Shop and sometimes Adobe Photoshop 6, and a website to host the pictures on.   If you have these things, just find a picture you want to use, resize it to 65 x 65 pixels, and upload it to your website.

Btw, how can I make animated gif's?
Is that possible with Paint Shop Pro?

Yeah, if you do them in Animation Shop, which should be included with Pro.

Here's a tutorial on how-to: link

Anybody know of any shareware on the net that makes animated gif's?  I had one at one time, but it was pretty clumsy to use, though it did the job.  That was on the old computer though.

I decided my avatar was too complicated, so I'm using this one kindly donated by Matt - thank you!  :) ( Matt, I'd be interested to know where you found the pictures you used for the Which Way and In The Line Of Fire avatars; I've been looking for that Lincoln Memorial shot for ages, and I'm trying to find a good photo of Clint from Any Which Way You Can).  Anyway, I'm posting some others I've done, so anyone can help themselves - I'll host them on my site if you want, or you can download them.  (Matt, if you think it would be good to keep everything together you can add these to your post at the beginning of this thread, if you like).

and here's one for right turn clyde...

Thanks Lilly!  Some of those are really great!  I think I'll leave them on this page instead of copying them to my post on the first page because when I was having trouble getting the web board on my server (I'm using cable internet), I switched to AOL and a dial-up connection and realized it took an AWFUL long time for the first page of this topic to load.  The more pictures I add to that post, the slower it will be for anyone with a dial-up connection.  So this is cool.   8)

Thank mgk for the great picture at the Lincoln Memorial.  That's a screen capture she pulled right from the DVD.  The Which Way avatars came from pictures that are on both the DVD's.

OK Matt, cheers.  Nightwing, I can't think why Matt should see them while you can't.  Maybe they're just being really slow to load??

Lilly,

I see your avatars without problems. They're nice.

I have a question
is Clint wearing a moustache on this avatar?  ???

I have seen this picture before and I can't be sure if that's a moustache or a shade.

Xichado, you HAVE seen Unforgiven, haven't you? William Munny does have a mustache in the opening scenes on the Kansas hog farm. After he makes the difficult decision to go on the bounty hunt with the Schofield Kid, he shaves it off. He's holding a fragment of mirror as he does so, standing by the window in the gloomy sod hut. A bird is heard singing in a tree outside ... and that makes him look up and out the window, where he sees the tree and the stones that mark his wife's grave. The next scene shows him taking flowers to her grave.

Xichado, you HAVE seen Unforgiven, haven't you?
KC

KC,
Thank you for refreshing my memory. Indeed, I remember the scene you described above because when I saw it I thought about my grandfather, he used to shave with the same kind of razor blade.

If that was a Kim Basinger avatar, I would know everything about the photo because "we" have been together for the last 13 years. I just started paying real attention to Clint for the last 6 or 7 months. I'm still a freshman around here. But if you want, KC, I don't mind sitting on your lap and you can "teach" me all you know about the man ;)

Or since I haven't shaved for the last week, you can come around my place, bring that blade from Unforgiven, and shave me the same way as Kim Basinger shaved Alec Baldwin in the Getaway... sigh...

:o OH NO! Wait, I voted Unforgiven off Matt's island... FORGET about that shaving :-\ :-X

There's a ton of new avatars on the first post of this thread.   We now have at least one avatar from each film Eastwood starred in (yup, even Paint Your Wagon ;) ).

Just right click on any picture you'd like to use and copy the code into your profile to adopt an av.
