As much as I respect and truly enjoy just about every Clint Eastwood movie....this is one film that...sigh....once you've seen it that's plenty.

I thought Blood Work was only a very average flick and a disappointing Mystery when I saw it in the theaters. But now that it's on television, the image panned & scanned to sh!t, content edited for profanity or violence or for time constraints so they can squeeze it in before the next four episodes of "Friends", and of course interrupted by a slate of commercials every seven minutes or so....YEAH, MAN!      I thought that Blood Work was okay but it probably is one of Clint's weaker films.  I remember the preview being really good and then feeling somewhat disappointed after seeing the film.   Thankfully he came back in a big way with both Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby.

I would agree that Blood Work is a very average film .
Still , it does have Clint striding down the street , shotgun in hand so it's not all bad  . Plus , I just picked up the DVD from Amazon for 3.20 and that's including postage ............. RESULT !  O0

I'll probably watch it. I thought it was pretty good, the only part that annoys me is that its so obvious who the bad guy is early on in the movie.

Strangely casted film...

Jeff Daniels was annoying as "Buddy."
Angelica Huston did not belong in this film...
Wanda De Jesus????
Paul Rodriguez too was cast in an odd roll...
The film had a lot of potential. It should have been cast with more care...

Yes, the casting of Blood Work was horrible. Wanda De Jesus had virtually no chemistry with Clint, and even her scenes without Clint were terrible. She simply was not a talented enough actress for a role like that.

Paul Rodriguez -- horrible.

Angelica Huston -- a disappointment in this role.

Jeff Daniels -- Believe it or not, didn't bother me as much as all the above, along with Mason Lucero as "Raymond", which is the WORST child's performance I've seen in any Eastwood movie, or, for that matter, in nearly any movie I've ever seen.

One exception to the horrible casting was Tina Lifford as Jaye Winston. She was fantastic... and I don't think it was just my imagination... there was a ton of chemistry between her and Clint that was completely missing with him and Wanda. Her scenes with Clint were the best in the movie.

I really liked Tina Lifford and Jeff Daniels in the movie.

I didn't mind the others, they all seemed okay to me, though maybe they didn't stand out in their performances.

I thought they stood out plenty. Just, not in a good way.
