OK  I will join in too.  I don't watch many movies on the TV at home but I do at work. Quite a lot at work in fact.  I don't go to the theatre very often but I do look at DVDs on the PC and TV and they are usually Clint Eastwood movies.

Well 2005 is over and it seems we all watched quite a few movies. Some of us started our Movie Journals and finished them whiles others didn't  >:(. I saw some great, good, bad and terrible movies this year but I didn't watch a lot of movies that I've been wanting to see. Hopefully 2006 will change that. I was hoping to watch roughly 365 movies in 2005 (one a day if I could) but I failed. 246 isn't bad though.

So, should we do it again for 2006?

The 2005 (by U.S. release date) movies I saw this year include Assault on Pricinct 13, Bride & Prejudice, Schultze Gets the Blues, The Man Who Copied, Turtles Can Fly, Be Cool, The Jacket, Dear Frankie, The Ballad of Jack & Rose, Millions, The Upside of Anger, Off the Map, Oldboy, SIN CITY, Kontroll, Kung-Fu Hustle, Buffalo Boy, 2046, Palindromes, The Interpreter, Enron: the Smartest Guys in the Room, Crash, Jiminy Glick in La-La-Wood, Layer Cake, Kicking & Screaming, Mad Hot Ballroom, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Haute Tension, 5x2, Batman Begins, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Yes, Happy Endings, March of the Penguins, War of the Worlds, Wedding Crashers, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, The Edukators, Hustle & Flow, Bad News Bears, The Aristocrats, Broken Flowers, Junebug, Grizzly Man, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, The Brothers Grimm, The Constant Gardener, An Unfinished Life, Lord of War, Proof, Thumbsucker, A History of Violence, Serenity, Capote, Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Good Night and Good Luck, The Squid & the Whale, Nine Lives, Shopgirl, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Weather Man, Jarhead, The Dying Gaul, Sarah Silverman: Jesus is Magic, Walk the Line, Breakfast on Pluto, The Ice Harvest, King Kong, Brokeback Mountain, The Family Stone, Rumor Has It and Munich. Plus I've seen Manderlay. I think that's a complete list, though I may be forgetting something.

Over the next month or so I hope to catch Syriana, The New World, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, Caché, Transamerica and maybe Mrs. Henderson Presents. The few from earlier in the year I'm sorry I missed are Eros, Saraband and El Crimen Perfecto.

Overall, a good year of cinema. Though I purposefully don't go to see a lot of the stuff I know is going to be crap.

It would be too time-consuming for me to keep a journal of every single movie I watched. I simply see too many.

Well done to those who managed to keep it up. :)  (Not me. ::))

Good going, Brendan.  You watched a helluva lot more than I did.  I still think it's a good idea, even though I didn't keep my journal up.  It's fun to see what others have watched, and to look back on our diverse viewing habits. 8)

I remember telling KC I'd love to see your movie journal, though... :)

And Brendan, I'm up for doing it again this year.  (And maybe Matt won't delete his halfway through the year.   ;))

It's been a good thread. Do another.  O0

I haven't been watching many movies at all lately, but I might join in again. It sure would be a boring journal to read through, though.

Alright I finished my journal up and did all my counting and holy crap I was surprised how much time I put in this year for movies.

This year in total I watched 442 movies.  That's more then one a day, though I didn't watch one every day.  I averaged about 37 movies a month.

Of the 442, I saw 47 films in the cinema, since after the Oscars.  Some I saw multiple times... So all in all I was at the theatres 65 times since the Oscars.

There were alot of good movies out this year.  My top 10 went to my top 12 cause there were so many good ones this year.  But there was also a lot of crap.  My worst movie list of this year went from 10 to 12 as well.

My lists might change depending on how good Match Point and the Producers are, along with a couple of others.
