This is the discussion thread we'll be posting in during our board's fifth Movie Night. This month we'll be watching High Plains Drifter. We'll meet here up to an hour before we start rolling the film. For anyone who'd like to join us... have your High Plains Drifter DVD ready to play on Sunday, April 17th. Check here for your area to see what time we'll be starting the film:

               PST (U.S. West Coast) - 2:00 PM
               EST (U.S. East Coast) - 5:00 PM
Great Britain, Portugal - 10:00 PM
France, Italy, Scandinavia - 11:00 PM

We'll be starting the movie at the first frame where you can read "A Universal Picture":

On the R-1 DVD, this is at 0:00:10 on the counter.

Set up your movie here, and pause. We'll all be hitting "Start" at exactly the top of the hour.

(I'm starting this thread a day early so I could add the event to the calendar--all events must have a thread to link to.)

I hope to see as many members here as possible tomorrow!

I'm here too.

We'll be stopping the film once halfway through, which will be at the beginning of Chapter 9. It's the scene where Lewis Belding and Morgan Allen meet in Dave Drake's office to confront him about doing something about The Stranger. On the R1 DVD, this is at 49:56, and the beginning of the scene looks like this, with Dave Drake looking out the window:

When you get to this point, stop the movie and let us know you're paused. We'll start up again after a few minutes break, which we'll determine once we're all stopped.

How is everyone? Guess I'd better get out a few beers and settle in. I've had a busy day.

I set this the date for this Movie Night when Brendan asked if it could be this weekend because it was the only weekend he could make it. After setting it up with him in mind, he tells me he's gotta be late. So, we may see him after the break if we see him at all.

I'm here. This had better be good.

Don't worry, KC. Clint doesn't disappoint.... not like those other fellows we know.

Matt I am grateful you set it up for this weekend because I couldn't make it for the next 5 Sundays.

Well then it worked out good after all.

KC, while I'm getting my beer, sounds like YOU could use a little something to unwind too. How about.....

A nice healthy glass of carrot juice.

I'll stick with my beer.
