If anyone is having problems either Registering or once logged in, posting messages, please see this thread on the Board FAQ page:

http://66.51.112.125/forums/index.php?board=11;action=display;threadid=28

You may need to also enter the IP address of 66.51.112.125 since the DNS name change has still not gone through. This will make sense once you read the post.

If you still are having trouble e-mail me at [email protected]

Thanks.

I got the site into my trusted sites list, but I didn't close the browser and start afresh with a new one. That's why it wasn't working at first.

Looks like I may have to go through that process everytime I log in here (clicking ok to the trusted sites then closing the broswer). Does that seem normal to anybody?

No that should not happen. As long as you checked the box to stay logged in longer than 60 minutes. It is really strange how some users are having such a terrible time logging in. I have tested this with IE 6, IE 5 and Netscape 6 and 7 and had no trouble logging in and staying logged on. It is definelty a cookie issue and I think the majority of the problems are IE related.  If you can upgrade to IE 6, the security on that is better and you wont have to deal with Trusted Sites and that sort of thing. Another alternative would be to download and use Netscape 7 (never thought I'd suggest that). Netscape 7 is a tad easier on the cookie situation.  If you decide to go Netscape, make sure you are using Netscape "7" - not 6 and certainly not 4.xxx.

Anyway, if anyone else had troubles first logging in but figured them out, please post your stories. They could help others.  :)

I had a problem loggin in.  I reregistered, got a
new password.  Then I changed the password
later.  The next day I tried to login, I was not able
to.  Because the site did not remember my pass
word.  So today I tried it again.  I did the forgot
my password button thing.  A few minutes later
I got a new password.  Then another password,
then another password, then another password
and finally another password.  Each password
came in before I could get to the site. Within
a few minutes I got 6   :o  different passwords.

I love the picture, Agent. Twilight Zone rocks, and some strange things seem to be happening around here. This site can do some pretty cool things though.

i had problems at first because it kept coming up as an error which said the field only accepts numbers from0-9. being the dumbass i am, i finally figured out that it was the session length, which i had gotten rid of that was holding me up. where it said 60 i backspaced so the box was empty and it wouldn't let me on. and now today, i think i had the same problem as christopher. i tried accessing the site through my favorites list. i could log into the board and get to the main screen but as soon as i went into a topic area, it only recognized me as a guest and wouldn't allow me to post. but after typing in ce.net and getting into the board that way, everything now seems fine.         the end. ;D
the board looks great by the way.

The default in time is 60 mintes. You all should just check the box that keeps you logged in forever, that way you will never have to enter a password.

Briggs, the only way it would send out another password would be if you changed your email address. Any time you change you email adress a new password will be snet to verify that the email exisits. Keeps us honest  ;)

I noticed something different after this weekend -

Now I have to login every time I revisit this site, although I've checked the option to stay logged in. Didn't have to do that before.

I no longer have to OK the "trusted sites" everytime I come here. Only thing is, now once I've logged in, whatever I click on next just brings me to a page that says "cannot find page" or something like that. So I have to close the window and open a new one and come back here, and I'm still logged in and there's no more problems after this.

Cal, do you think this may work itself out also? Just wondering.

Sounds like a cookie issue. Did you follow the info on the FAQ page?

Probably still is the cookie issue, I'd guess. As I said, once I've logged in, the next thing I click on after that main page comes up with a white colored page and says "This page cannot be displayed." It's the normal page that always comes up if you can't get into a site. So I'd try to back up, then it'd say that the page had expired, and that's why I close the window and open a new one.

I see that when I stay logged on when I leave this site (I usually log out everytime), everything works fine when I come back to it, I didn't have to close any windows or anything like that.

Just figured I'd let ya'll know. ;)
