My sides ache from laughter every time I see Elaine dance--She's the life of the party....

The Aussie thread chat about Seinfeld got me remembering this thread.

What about the episode, The Chinese Restaurant.

Just thinking about it, cracks me up. ;D

It's almost Festivus.

Maybe we can sit around and tell one another how disappointed we are in them this year, before the annual Feats of Strength contest. :D

I've been watching the last season and I just came to this episode.  My favorite part is Jerry letting out his feelings.

Quote
Jerry: What--what is this salty discharge?

Elaine: Oh my God. You're crying.

Jerry: This is horrible! I care!

Add Valerie Mahaffey to the list of Eastwood/Seinfeld connections. She played a passenger in Sully but forever is in my memory as George's girlfriend Patrice, in the 2nd episode of season 3 of Seinfeld. The woman who had chopsticks in her hair and would pronounce paper mache as papier mache.

Here she is!

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/kwdYDQCOEeE" target="_blank" class="new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/kwdYDQCOEeE</a>

Their voices are all a little too high pitched -- seems it was recorded a bit fast? Or their voices dropped in later years. Kramer sounds normal.

We can add Richard Herd to the Eastwood/Seinfeld Connection list. Herd is in The Mule. :)

Do you think Michael Richards will ever work again? How long has it been since his meltdown on stage? Will he ever be forgiven?

I think the main problem with Michael Richards is that he's not funny unless he's doing Kramer. With the awesome Seinfeld scripts and perfect cast chemistry to play off, he's really funny. I never found him more than slightly funny in anything else he's done. Combine that with that stand-up meltdown, he's best off retiring. People won't forgive racism. White people can't be funny when joking about race, especially in today's social media and cancel culture world.

I've never really loved "Seinfeld." My brother and Dad are big fans, but I actually prefer Larry David's other show, "Curb Your Enthusiasm." I rarely find it laugh out loud funny, but it's always amusing, and he plays a pretty interesting character. If you watch that show along with Seinfeld, you can see that he, rather than Jerry Seinfeld, was the true creative force behind "Seinfeld."
