The Swimmer
1968

Staring Burt Lancaster.. who at 55 looks in great shape in this drama..

Cult movie about a man who decides to swim home using all of his neighbours swimming pools..
The further he gets into his journey the more he appears to find out about himself...and all is not as it at first seems..

I havn't seen this film in a long time but still enjoyed it..
I've always admired Lancaster.. an actor not afraid to take on interesting, offbeat and uncommericial projects
interspersed with more usual star fare... sound familiar ?  ;)

Enjoyed seeing the first three of these again and the last one for the first time.  Laughed at all of them because horror films donít scare me.

Meh.  Not even Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis could save this film.  Itís as insipid, irrelevant and insignificant as Rise Of The Cobra.

The Ugly Duckling 1959

A comedy take on the Dr Jekyl/Mr Hyde story starring English comedian Bernard Breslaw, Jean Muir and future Dr Who Jon Pertwee..
A Hammer film thought lost for many years until a copy turned up in the States last year..

Quite possibly where Jerry Lewis got his inspiration a few years later for The Nutty Professor..
Decent little comedy  enlivened by Breslaws performance..
