Betis - LFC  1-2

a good start for LFC

Lyon - Real Madrid 3-0  uha uha what a bad game Madrid played,  but Lyon played good and deserved to win that match

madrid seem more interested in becoming a brand and selling merchandise than actually winning, since beckham joined they've increased their over seas pre season touring in asia and america but if memory serves they only won the kings cup (an equivalent to the league cup) in the two years!!

Rooney needs to get a grip.

I was watching the 1973 cup final last night (a great final) no cry baby antics like there are today and very sporting.

Sad to see the way some so called professionals behave today.

yeh rooney is acting very badly

i think its more an england thing than man utd

when your let down by erikkson and his stupid antics it goes through to club

he is young and erikkson has put undue pressure on him

you wouldn't see a good manager do that

To be fair Vik, I only saw the highlights. He does know he is in the spotlight at the moment and I wish he would calm down.
He is a great talent, but that is not everything and is not included in the word "sportsman"

regardless whats the point of putting so much pressure on him - i remember ferguson saying he would look after ronaldo - perhaps he could do the same for rooney

I think that is what people are hoping will solve the problem.

The fans will be out for him and he needs to keep his head.

I won't complain is he is not playing for any reason when Man utd  play West Ham.  :D

i have just seen that the referee said rooney had it coming - that referee should be sacked - he shouldn't go in to a game with an agenda to red card a player or any idea like that against a player

referring has got more biased and bad and this just proves it

the referee said rooney had it coming from his actions earlier in the game, he didn't go into the game looking to book him,

he shouldn't have carded him for the clapping anyway , a stern talking to would have done in that case and a warning that next time he's off

bit of a lacklustre draw, only decent attempts were garcia break through on the left of the goal area and van nistelrooys chip
